I am disgusted by Nedbank. I had an overdraft with them, it was unfortunate that I was retrenched, and my account was handed over to recoveries. I then got a job and I contacted them that I would like to set a stop order and made arrangements that they can deduct R500 a month. They advised me to open a new account for my salary because the old one was no longer going to work. While I was opening a new, I asked the consultant to set a debit order, so that I can pay off my overdraft. OK that's was done. Then Nothando from Nedbank recoveries contacted me saying that I need to set a debit order with them, and she the other one I did at the bank was not recognized. I asked her twice if my money was not gonna go off two times since I had already made arrangements with the branch, she said no. I go paid, now I'm checking my bank statement, the money went off twice. I am so ****ed off, especially that there was a reason why I set a stop order of R500. Now I am unable to pay for my son's school fees. I was retrenched and I'm still trying to pick up the pieces and get on my feet. I need NEDBANK to sort this out ASAP because I want my money back. I've been calling the call center and I was transferred to recoveries, spoke to Zama and she said that I must go to the branch they would be able to reverse it. I went to LA Lucia branch Durban and they said that they can't help me.
I didn't know that a simple hello can change someone's mood. I was having a very bad morning today and this lady, Thandeka from Kwamashu Spar made my day. She was standing by the entrance with a sanitizer, as I walked in, she greeted me warmly and extended her hand with a sanitizer. Her simple HELLO made my day. This is the customer service that we expect. Thank you Thandeka!
