Used them for a bathroom extractor fan installation. They came to quote, explained how it worked and the price was good. They didn't even require a deposit. On the day they arrived on time, did a neat job, and even went the extra mile to put silicone on some cracked roof tiles.
Have used them a few times - always turned up about when they said and got the job done. It's worth getting a second quote for big jobs: recently I had several things that needed doing and for some of them RC Bosman was much cheaper than another plumber and for others they were much more expensive.
I am extremely frustrated that Capitec appears to be wilfully ignoring my problem. It all started with the debit order to automatically pay my credit card being deducted from my savings account, but not appearing in my credit card account. As a result, I was flagged as being in arrears and charged interest of R63. On 8/11 I went to the branch and dealt with Nuraan, who spoke to the call centre on my behalf and told me the issue would be fixed within 2 days. The payment did appear, but four weeks later the interest has still not been refunded. I phoned the call centre on 15/11 and was told there was no feedback yet. I called again on 19/11 and promised a call back within two working days - it did not happen. Called again on 23/11 and was told it was a collections department issue and was transferred; Thabo in the collections department said it was not their problem. I then tried emailing (ClientCareCentre@capitecbank.co.za) and the next day Rodwyn replied "Kindly note that I have sent a request to the agent dealing with the matter so that they can provide you with feedback." No feedback was received. On 25/11 I sent another email asking for the issue to be escalated to complaint management - no response. I phoned on 2/12 and asked for the issue to be escalated. The agent I spoke to (possibly Michelle?) said she wasn't able to do so, but would put me through to the complaints department. I waited on hold for 30 minutes after which I just got an engaged tone. I then sent another email asking for the issue to be escalated - once again, no response. I've tried calling the complaints department several more times but every time it goes to hold for some time before disconnecting the line. When I switched to Capitec about 5 years ago I was very happy, but after this experience I won't be recommending it to anyone. It's experiences like this with my previous bank that drove me to switch to Capitec in the first place.
