Skylights by Sundowner
John Viegas, Thomas and Ashley are honest, hard working people. The Skylights they inserted for us are exactly what we wanted. They went the extra mile for us, by coming back the following day and fixing things when rain interrupted their work. They also made sure the color of the finish matched my roof.

Poor Service
Very unreliable, Ross and Shaun do not honor their appointment. I had to follow them up repeatedly for more than three weeks, eventually I had to phone to make a booking, just for them to inform me that they cannot do the service as arranged. Stay away, poor service

Happy with bathroom extractor fan
Used them for a bathroom extractor fan installation. They came to quote, explained how it worked and the price was good. They didn't even require a deposit. On the day they arrived on time, did a neat job, and even went the extra mile to put silicone on some cracked roof tiles.

Disappointed client
I am very disappointed, l asked for your assistance as l had an existing skylight and wanted it adapted as it wasn’t giving me enough light and was not a pretty fitting to look at on my ceiling. Yes l now have more light, but your team couldn’t even do a simple cheap frame 🖼 to fix the eyesore that l still live with and this would have been a cheap fix. Very disappointed that something so simple was overlooked. Unfortunately l am unable to attach a photo hereto as the option isn’t here.

Excellent Service
Initially I dealt with Ross who was patient enough to endure many emails from me filled with questions. Shaun and Andre came to install the solar tube. They were both friendly and helpful. It was evident that they knew exactly what they were doing and the job was over in no time. Shaun alerted me to a problem in my roof that I did not know about. After installing the solar tube and while he was still on the roof, he secured my braai cowling which had come loose...definitely going the extra mile. Thanks guys, awesome job

Exceptionally bad service!
<p>Hennie quoted (32747) me on 2017-6-6. I accepted the quote on the 7th but insisted that I want a written guarantee on the installation as well (we know many people who have leaking skylights!). The installation date cannot be later than the 13th as I have tenants moving in. I sent my details via sms and Hennie promised to send an invoice and schedule the installation before due date. I phoned on the 12th as I have not heard from him. He did not reply to my sms or the message I left with his wife. I phoned again later the day and he said I should rather get some-one else to do the installation as he won't guarantee the skylight against leaks which was odd as I voiced my concerns the day he quoted and was told they have installed 55 000 skylights without any complaints! 1) Please note: no guarantee for any leakage 2) Because of his unprofessional conduct, I now have run out of time to appoint an alternative contractor 3) When I sent him an sms complaining about the bad service I was threatened.</p>

Supurb service and After sales assistance
I installed skylights last year with Sundowner Skylights at my home in Hout Bay. Yesterday after our first rains this season I had a leak at one of the skylights. I phoned them at 8:30 by 11:30 they were on site and sorting it out.<br> The biggest compliment is that the leak does not seem to be from their installation, but rather my aging roof. They happily repaired the roof at the affected area and only informed me afterwards of where the trouble was.<br> <br> I have to compliment them from Day one with quoting, installing and now after sales exceptional service.<br> I will do business with them any day. Thank you guys!
