After I settled my account in store so my account could be closed, they proceeded to debit my account days after they confirmed via email that they received the payment. When i called them to reverse the money they told me it would take 7 business days, meanwhile my other debit orders are not going through and my name is being dragged through the mud all because of their "procedure". i cant wait to be done with MTN. Getting out of a contract with them is a nightmare so i wouldn't recommend anyone sign a contract with them. It is both mentally and financially exhausting.
THE BIGGEST ****MERS. I signed a 24Months contract with MTN and they continued debiting my account for months after the contract expired. When i called to cancel they told me i still owed money which i settled at the store. They suspended the sim card on the 9th of May but still debited my account on the 25th May for a sim card THEY SUSPENDED because "they loaded the data". I called them again today (29 May) to cancel the contract and they told me i will be put on 30days notice. I asked them to NOT load any data or airtime on the sim card within the notice period and the lady told me "If your payment date is within the notice period then we will be loading data and debiting your account" I am not only paying data for a sim card that is suspended, i am paying even after cancelling the contract. To anyone who wanted to go into contract with MTN DONT!!! They will milk you dry and send threatening email while at it
PHONE CALLS ARE NEVER ANSWERED. RECEPTIONIST IS VERY RUDE!! EVEYONE AT SERVICE DEPARTMENT IS "CURRENTLY UNAVAILABLE"
