Second review. After placing a review on HelloPeter.com, Netstar contacted me. The agent insisted that I should have cancelled the debit order with my bank. This was a demand payment and not a debit order. They eventually agreed to refund and did so. However, they collected may payment again at the end of February. My bank confirmed that the demand deposit could only be cancelled by Netstar.
On 2 September 2022 I cancelled my subscription by email. On 4 September, I received a response that this has been sent to the relevant department. On 9 September I received confirmation, subject to a 30 day notice period. The payments continued to go through as I cannot stop these through my bank. The latest payment taken was end January and my correspondence since went unanswered.
I sent a parcel overnight to Somerset west mall on Tuesday 28 December. I explained that the parcel was urgent and contained cheese for overseas visitors. The lady confirmed that delivery would be done at the latest on Thursday 30 December. I phoned the Scottburgh branch 7 times, but no answer. I phoned the Somerset West branch and they confirmed that the parcel was only shipped today, 30 December. I paid a premium for overnight shipping. Ref. PN8895021
I placed an order online for some wine on 6 December. I enquired about the delivery on a number of occasions. No response whatsoever. I phoned the helpline just to be told that the query was escalated a week ago. I'm also waiting for a refund from them since October. Today, 21 December, no movement or feedback. Pathetic customer service.
