We had a lovely evening at the Silver Orange and the food as well as the service was excellent! Only negative remark: Unfortunately, upon departing we were harassed by the car guard that did not want to open the gate because we did not have any cash on hand to give him a tip (and due to the setting obviously no ATM's nearby).
My wife took our WAP (Nilfisk) vacuum cleaner to them for repairs on 25 November 2021 and paid R300 for an assessment. They said they would phone us with a quote for repairs within three days and were informed that the repairs would take one week after acceptance of the quote. They phoned us 5 days later to confirm the quote for replacement of the power cable and a new filter. We accepted the quote on the same day we were informed thereof. On 4 December 2021 my wife phoned them to ask about progress of the repairs and were told by a very rude lady that they will phone us. Nobody phoned us back. On 11 December 2021 my wife phoned again to find out if the repairs was done, since it has now been a week and a half after we accepted the quote. They were very rude again and said they will phone us when they are done. On 14 December 2021 they finally phoned us to confirm that the repairs would be done the next day. I phoned them on 15 December 2021, but a very rude lady informed me that the they will phone us when the repairs are done and she could not confirm the status of the repairs. I asked to speak to their manager, but the manager was apparently "in a meeting". I told her that I demand the machine back and will be at their office within 10 minutes to collect it. On arrival at their office the lady at reception was unable to confirm if the machine was ready. I had to wait another 15 minutes for them to magically produce the machine with the repairs done. The repairs was second rate with a very thin cable, with no earthing wire and much shorter than the initial cable. I requested to speak to the manager but he/she was apparently still "in a meeting". The lady told me that the manager would phone me back. It is now more than a week later and ... surprise, surprise.... NO phone call received from their mythical "manager"..... I will definitely never take an appliance to Van Biljoens for repairs again and will not recommend them to anyone. This is the worst service ever with the rudest staff thinkable!
