Absolute disgrace
I am honestly surprised Amazon still permits their suppliers or any USA company still uses UPS to ship to South Africa - the company seems to have a whole different way of working their shipping, clearing and import duties. Other shipping companies very seldom ever have to present any customs charges as this is usually covered within the calculated shipping costs to SA, UPS on the other hand seem to double up on this - taking payment from Amazon and advising that it was "just shipping costs" but then charging MORE than the actual value of the items shipped, to do the clearing here in SA. Since this has never happened with any other shipping company (and if it did the customs duties payable were negligible in comparison to the cost of the item(s)). Steer very clear of UPS and if you purchase from international Amazon, request that shipping NOT be sent via UPS. Current value of items purchased US$60, Amazon added shipping etc costs US$40 arrives in South Africa and UPS wants to charge US$65 for the parcel to be customs cleared WTAF????

BEST notebooks / laptops refurbished by far
Excellent experience dealing with Martin and co. VERY impressive service and the best refurbished notebooks I have purchased thus far. I have just purchased my 3rd notebook and sincerely appreciate the speed of delivery and genuine care shown.

Hindsight is a beautiful thing ... sadly.
Since Daniel has threatened "to deal with me appropriately" if I publish a bad review or speak of my bad experience with him I present only facts to avoid any "defamation of character" as he is so fond of using. Facts: 10 months, R**** + spent You dear review reader are most welcome to view the many photos I took (before/during & after Daniel refused to return to site having NOT completed any of the work and left a scene of absolute filth, devastation and chaos), review the report (engineer, quantity surveyor and various subsequent quotes received to do the same work) read through the WhatsApp chat and make up your own mind. However my own perspective and experience in hindsight: I wish I had never met nor requested a quote from this person.
