Very, very impressed
<div>The best customer service I have experienced, ever. I ordered from the Niche Perfumery website at lunchtime on a Saturday and my package was delivered to my door on Sunday morning! Niche Perfumery enables fragrance lovers to buy decants – ranging from 1ml to 10ml – of hundreds of authentic fragrances, many hard to find. I was surprised to see that Niche Perfumery’s per millilitre price on high-end perfumes often worked out less expensive than buying a full bottle from a retailer. I started out as a somewhat sceptical new customer and ended up writing a review and singing their praises. Well done, Niche Perfumery! I do believe we should make an effort to support and praise those small businesses in South Africa that prove to be exceptional.</div>

Great investments and customer care!
Very impressed with 1nvest. They offer a range of unique investments and the staff are competent and enthusiastic. I had some questions regarding one of their investments and the speed and extent of their customer service exceeded all my expectations. Thank you Ntombenhle Radebe and Johann Esrasmus for your amazing work ethic -- 1invest is lucky to have the both of you.

Warning: do NOT use Old Mutual for your retirement annuities!
I have 4 annuities with Old Mutual and regret having chosen Old Mutual as my partner. Ever since taking out these annuities I have encountered endless administrative problems from Old Mutual. Their system is just a mess! My latest challenge was to try and opt-out from the new SARS rules governing PAYE on annuities. Old Mutual sent me a useless opt-out form with space for only two annuities (but I have four!). They also promised I could easily opt-out by replying to their SMS. But they never sent me any SMS! Three time-consuming calls later to their Call Centre (having spoken to Cailin Jones and Anthony, and holding on for his team leader) I am none the wiser. Everyone reading this, please take my experience to heart and choose your insurer wisely. PS: Anyone thinking this is just an angry rant, please read my other reviews to see how fairly I judge businesses. I only write negative reviews like this one when the service is shockingly bad and I feel called to warn others.

Far exceeded my expectations
I ordered a 1.2m photographic print on canvas from pixalot.co.za and cannot praise this company enough. Before ordering, my questions were answered within minutes on their livechat function. Their website is beautifully designed and placing my online order was a breeze. Post-purchase communication was excellent and my order was delivered within the promised time frame. Packaging was, once again, exceptional. But the real surprise came when opening the box. The quality far exceeded my expectations. The materials used are top quality (strong, heavy and beautifully finished). And the print is simply stunning. If Pixalot keeps up this standard they will soon dominate the wall art market in South Africa.

I am always blown away when ordering art from the Pharoahs. Husband and wife team Peter-and-Tracey is where artistic expression and mental discipline meet. Expect mind blowing art from Peter Pharoah. Expect amazing business skills and punctuality from Tracey. The quality of their canvas prints is in a class of its own. Through the years, I have ordered art from various international online platforms. Peterpharoah.com's delivery speed and customer care are unmatched.

Thanks for all the warnings posted here!
I had a basket full of online stuff. Before placing my order, my gut told me to first come and check the reviews here on hellopeter. I was utterly shocked! Needless to say, my order never saw the light of day. Earlier I posted a product question on Leroy Merlin's website regarding incorrect measurements listed under product details. Instead of correcting their error they deleted my question. The incorrect measurements stand to this day. Such poor work ethic. Not a company I want to support!

Protégé Power did a fantastic job with my solar installation. This is one of those rare businesses you want to tell the whole word about. Their work is extremely neat, their technical abilities impressive and their team a joy to have on your property. We need more businesses like this in South Africa!

Perfect workmanship
I am a stickler for neat work and EcoGas exceeded my expectations. Eco Gas replaced my electric hob with a gas hob, and the job was done perfectly. The same with upgrading my gas fireplace. Stefan is enthusiastic, knowledgeable and energetic. Ruan patiently answered all my questions by phone prior to installation. A friendly bunch and a very smooth transaction. Highly recommended.
