I am writing this to express my absolute disgust with the recent, unilateral decision by Boston Community College to s**** physical textbooks in favor of digital versions. This transition was handled with a level of unprofessionalism and selfishness that is frankly shocking for an educational institution. The most insulting part of this entire ordeal is the complete and utter neglect to consult the current student body. We are the primary stakeholders here, yet our voices were entirely ignored. This wasn’t a move made for "innovation"; it feels like a desperate, *********** cover-up for the fact that the college cannot manage the logistics of distributing physical books on time and correctly. Instead of fixing their internal supply chain issues, they have simply forced a digital-only model onto students without a single thought for our health or learning preferences. By forcing students into 100% digital consumption, the college is knowingly ignoring several significant health concerns: Digital Eye Strain (Computer Vision Syndrome): Prolonged exposure to screens leads to headaches, blurred vision, and dry eyes. Disrupted Circadian Rhythms: The blue light emitted by devices interferes with sleep patterns, which is detrimental to a student’s recovery and memory retention. Increased Sedentary Behavior: Digital-only learning often leads to poor posture and neck strain (Text Neck) compared to the more tactile, varied movement of using physical books. Cognitive Fatigue: Studies consistently show that "screen fatigue" can reduce deep comprehension and focus compared to reading printed material.
Would be a 0 start rating if possible. We have continuous outages on our connection which simply gets brushed off by uneducated employees that clearly have no idea what is actually wrong. Every time you call you get a different answer. What happened to detail oriented, accurate service. I have not seen anything this bad since Helkom and let me tell you that is pretty bad. I never write any reviews but are completely disgusted at the moment and need somewhere to vent my frustration as customer service cannot even talk to me if I complain about something. In what world is it okay for customer service to get rude and defensive the moment you put in a complaint? Truly disgusted with the poor utterly pathetic support provided by Vodacom. My opinion has gone from the best to the worst for their service.
