Boston City Campus
Based on recent customer reviews, Boston City Campus receives sharply divided feedback. Positive reviews consistently praise dedicated student advisors by name across branches like Roodepoort, Welkom, Randburg, Cape Town and Polokwane, highlighting genuine care and academic support. However, a significant volume of negative feedback centres on the controversial switch from physical to digital textbooks, which students describe as forced and poorly executed. Recurring complaints also include unprofessional staff attitudes, poor communication, unresolved billing and refund disputes, misleading information about the distance learning model, and deteriorating campus infrastructure at certain locations.

Based on recent customer reviews, this business delivers a consistently strong customer experience anchored by outstanding agent quality and rapid communication. Customers frequently name individual consultants and praise their friendliness, patience, and professionalism. Recurring praise is given to claims and roadside assistance, though a vocal minority report frustrating delays, rejected claims, and poor transparency around premium increases.

I want to thank the EXCELLENT service I received at Boston City Centurion by Lenchen Avenue from the Receptionist Lesedi Mohlabine. A beautiful, kind and helpful young lady. She has made this uncertain journey very smooth. I was not trusting this institution before and doubting that we will just be treated by all these other online institutions but wow this young lady has been so patient, thorough in her service and explanations i am excited to be starting with Boston although the reviews on textbooks has me worried. Thanks to Lesedi truly for your best service, I hope Boston treasures employees like her. I have definitely recommended my services to my colleagues because I am truly thankful and appreciate her warmth.

Changing textbooks to digital in third year is not acceptable when now most time is taken trying to find textbooks and get programs to work. Its okay to change but should have given student their books aswell or allowed to download them. The systems dont work. Snapplify for example doesn't allow speech unless you highlight. I've recorded the program. Also if we fail because your new system doesn't work properly that unacceptable. You have bad attitudes on top of it and support just ignores a person. You charging more fees for very poor performance. Aside for that my worst nightmare. Lectures being read by people we complained about in first year. Come on guys what the heck man!

My experience at Boston City Campus Roodepoort has been nothing short of excellent. The staff have been consistently helpful, informative, and dedicated to ensuring student success. Through their support, I was able to achieve four distinctions, something I am extremely proud of. Along the way, I encountered a few challenges and errors, but I never felt alone in the process. Every issue was handled with patience, guidance, and efficiency. I would especially like to acknowledge Alfred Gaothusi, my student advisor. His support has been outstanding. During moments of difficulty or confusion, Alfred always stepped in with professionalism, kindness, and a genuine willingness to assist without hesitation. His work ethic, commitment, and encouragement played a significant role in my positive academic journey. I truly appreciate everything the campus and Alfred have done for me. I highly recommend Boston City Campus Roodepoort to anyone looking for a supportive and student-centered institution.

I am a student in my second year. I am busy this moment, trying to study with these new digital textbooks, which was just forced on us, without any consultation with the students. I did complain at my Support centre when I heard about it, only in January, but nothing came of my voice. I am so struggling with the digital version, the Snapplify and Buku apps where the books are on is so un-user-friendly, one cannot copy your notes, you can highlight. But what does highlights mean if you cannot print all your highlights to learn. I wear glasses for the computer, but my eyes are already sore from all the screen time and scrolling. If feels like I do not know where I am in the textbook, which is very frustrating! I wanted to give the textbooks a change, after my first complains was just ignored, and the Support centre gave all the pro's including "reading function of the books", but the voice sounds like a AI generated computer voice, I cannot listen or understand it. But This is absolutely ridiculous. To pay this extreme Tuition, and we did not even get any drop-in fees, even though we do not get textbooks anymore! I think it was absolutely in bad faith that Boston made this decision, and at this moment, I am so disappointed that I ever chose Boston. I know a lot of students that is also very Upset about this! We want our Books back in the second semester! Sort out your logistical problems with textbook distribution and give us books again! I am trying for all distinctions and with this extreme workload, to now struggle this mess with a digital textbook, how should I achieve this! You will see it in your results this semester, that this was a poor decision on your part just to improve your bottom line, this is not fair towards us students! I will not be recommending Boston for any new prospective Student! This was the straw that broke the camels back!

I am writing this to express my absolute disgust with the recent, unilateral decision by Boston Community College to s**** physical textbooks in favor of digital versions. This transition was handled with a level of unprofessionalism and selfishness that is frankly shocking for an educational institution. The most insulting part of this entire ordeal is the complete and utter neglect to consult the current student body. We are the primary stakeholders here, yet our voices were entirely ignored. This wasn’t a move made for "innovation"; it feels like a desperate, *********** cover-up for the fact that the college cannot manage the logistics of distributing physical books on time and correctly. Instead of fixing their internal supply chain issues, they have simply forced a digital-only model onto students without a single thought for our health or learning preferences. By forcing students into 100% digital consumption, the college is knowingly ignoring several significant health concerns: Digital Eye Strain (Computer Vision Syndrome): Prolonged exposure to screens leads to headaches, blurred vision, and dry eyes. Disrupted Circadian Rhythms: The blue light emitted by devices interferes with sleep patterns, which is detrimental to a student’s recovery and memory retention. Increased Sedentary Behavior: Digital-only learning often leads to poor posture and neck strain (Text Neck) compared to the more tactile, varied movement of using physical books. Cognitive Fatigue: Studies consistently show that "screen fatigue" can reduce deep comprehension and focus compared to reading printed material.

I am a returning student completing a diploma at the Bellville branch. I am bring funded by my employer on a bursary and this year the approval letter from my employer has not reached me yet but I have signed my contract with my employer ensuring they have approved my bursary gor the new academic year. I am stressed because the actual binding contract is not enough of a commitment to payment according to the institution and the consultants I have dealt with, I cannot complete my registration unless they receive the letter because the actual CONTRACT means nothing. I am in awh of this fact as I cannot wrap my head around how it is logical. Is the money more important than the student? I am a dedicated hardworking student but because of money I cannot register and will fall behind this semester. It saddens me that the institution does not care for its students and their situations.

I am writing this as a very stressed and disappointed student. Campus begins in less then a week, and I still have not received any confirmation regarding my bursary application. I have tried following up with my advisor, yesterday and today and received no response. I later found out she is not in the office. I have also reached out to other advisors and have received no feedback. As a student, this is extremely distressing. My ability to register, prepare, and attend classes depends entirely on this decision. Being left without communication so close to the start of the academic term is not only unprofessional but deeply disheartening. All I am asking for is clarity, whether approved or declined, so that I can plan accordingly. The silence is what is most concerning. I truly hope this matter is addressed urgently, as no student should feel this uncertain days before campus.
