Such a shame... I was a hostess in the late 90's and early 2000's on the intercape bus when the Mr SNR Ferreira was alive those years things was in order staff had general customer service ethics within them unlike when i travelled with the intercape bus for the 1st time since 2003 recently, excited because i wanted to give my husband the experience and was uttering all things beautiful and lovely, the going to Britstown was sadly bearable..... no announcement ...had to wake up passengers to ask what town is this.. on our return .. we had the biggerst cherry on the frikken cake..We decided lets book front top seats..of whcih we did the night before and reconfirmed prior to embarking the bus. To our surprise there were 2 young african men sitting in our seats, i asked politely to move as we booked the seats - they both stared at me as if they swallowed their tongue and ignored me. I called the call centre infront of them put my phone on speaker to confirm that the seats they sitting in is booked for me and my husband ...these two guys kept sitting with their tongue still swallowed. We called the operator ... at this point the bus started moving and we have no seating , we are now standing in a moving vehicle where the staff onbaord refuse to assist us with passengers on the top deck having a fat laugh at me and my husband having to beg for assistance whilst the bus is moving and whilst we holding onto the staircase railing of the bus wiht our hand luggage in our hands. The one driver comes out eventually ... spoke to the guys - the one guy was prepared to move but th eother not, we refused to be separted as there is a principal behind this, we have booked seats. The driver ignored us went back to the ****pit. We sat on the stair case for over 2 hours whilst and inbetween a stop with new people embarking. Later the one driver comes out from the ****pit climbed over us to get to the tiolet and climbed back over us to get to the ****pit. .....the other driver came out at one stage stood on the top deck and just announced to all that me and my husband is holding up the people from Cape Town , we were confused what he meant because we en route from Britstown to JHB..... ( ***ker !!!) we eventually decided to sit down as i suffer from SI joint pain and chronic glute pain, and my lower back started to pain. Mind you, the only reason why we went to britstown by bus was due to my aunt that passed away and short notice we not going to drive by car as we just returned from cape town for my dad's funeral - she was the last in my mom family that was alive and now passed away so we had to attend the funeral. Long story short.... customer service eventually after i took this to my tiktok page.... contacted me....apologised .... and overed a 50 % voucher off the initial ticket price for both me and my husband ( This was July 2025 ) ... me and my husband decided lets book and use our voucher to go to durban to go an pick up his son - since yesterday i have been trying to resolve the issue of the 50% voucher that was offered for both me and my husband, because now they provided a voucher of R 348 - I have been asking where did they get the R 348 to be 50% off which and what ticket - i am now being ignored and mind you they said the R 348 is for both me and my husband.... I think Mr JNR Ferreira you have failed your father big time .......... Your operations team, and customer service department has reached the bar of disappointment and embarrassment.... start fresh this is what corporate companies do. Clear out your staff and start fresh... i have never seen so many complaints about intercape... when i was a hostess in my days Intercape had zero complaints of bad service zero road accidents..... I am now taking this matter further ..... Btw ... my late dad was Mr SNR Ferreira right hand, and this is how i got the job as a bus hostess on the Intercape bus. This is why I am beyond shocked at what this company has become.

Non stop calls when you answer no one comes to the phone, i called back the phone is not even ringing. VERY IRRITATING !!!! i have been blocking numbers but they seem to just keep calling ! HOW can we stop these SPAM CALLS?? This is enough to tick you off especially when you answer and there is no one on the other line - this after numerous calls non stop....
@IntercapeBus Paid for our seats from Hanover to Midrand booked 2 seats together – someone else sat on our seats, the driver refused to help. We had to sit on the bus stairs for 3 hours without any help. The assistant driver walked over us to get to the toilet @IntercapeBus
Uber eats owes me a refund of which they confirmed for about 700 rand from last week. Today I placed another order for close to R400, money went off my account , 15 min later i received a push notification: Sorry we are unable to process your order as the store is closed. Uber Eats South Africa please refund me my R1000 odd ASAP so I maybe continue to uninstall and delete your app. You’ll are useless for the mere fact you can’t call customer care you must now write a ticket on the help section. Taking people’s money like this and now I must spend more money to go get food from another retailer and drive there … what you’ll think we people swim in money!!!!!! Utter disgrace and disgusted by this service. Please ensure my money gets refund ASAP .
