Disgusting company. We had Suntank solar panels installed with our solar geyser about 14 months ago in a brand new house. In December 2024 we noticed the geyser was not getting hot so the plumber who did the installation came to inspect the panels and all the fluid has leaked out. As the panels were under warranty they were replaced. In March we were doing maintenance and my husband went onto the roof and noted that the panels were in a shocking condition, they were peeling and clearly substandard. He immediately contacted Helen of Suntank and sent her photographic evidence, she agreed the panels need to be replaced and promised to sort it out. After 2 months we had heard nothing so my husband contacted Helen again, she said she was in hospital having had a heart attack, which we did not believe. After waiting a few more weeks we contacted the office again and it seems they were not aware of the problem and promised to sort it out quickly. Once again, we heard nothing and on following up, Helen, who had miraculously recovered, promised that things would be sorted out, but they were waiting for materials. BIG ALARM BELLS. We tried to contact the company again first week in June but got no response. These people are a bunch of ****** and have no idea what customer service is. We have heard rumours they have gone out of business......small wonder the way that customers are treated and the ******* they supply.
I was retrenched in December 2020 and unemployed for 6 weeks. I put through a claim for UIF on 18 March 2021, I am still waiting for any kind of response from them. Corrected documentation was requested which was submitted in June and several times subsequently Every time I phone in I am told the claim is with an assessor and someone will get back to me within a day or 2. What a joke, I think these people just couldn't be bothered.
I initially had insured my dog through Petsure and had no option but to go with the move when Dotsure acquired Petsure. At this stage my dog was about 12. Unfortunately last year she was very ill with pancreas problems and I had to claim on the policy, I have to say that Dotsure were very efficient in processing and refunding my claims. Unfortunately I have just received notification that my premium will increase from R333 a month to R464....an unheard of 30% almost......and the explanation from Dotsure was that my dog is over 9 years old and premiums for any pet over 9 years old increase dramatically. What a load of rubbish, my cats are insured through another company who have not done this and 2 of my cats are over 14. My view of this: the policy has been increased due to the high claims I put through last year, it has NOTHING to do with the fact that my dog is 14. Shame on you for this unacceptable increase and laughable explanation, if my dog was young enough Id move her to your opposition but you've got me between a rock and a hard place, at least be honest with your customers.
