Disgusting company. We had Suntank solar panels installed with our solar geyser about 14 months ago in a brand new house. In December 2024 we noticed the geyser was not getting hot so the plumber who did the installation came to inspect the panels and all the fluid has leaked out. As the panels were under warranty they were replaced. In March we were doing maintenance and my husband went onto the roof and noted that the panels were in a shocking condition, they were peeling and clearly substandard. He immediately contacted Helen of Suntank and sent her photographic evidence, she agreed the panels need to be replaced and promised to sort it out. After 2 months we had heard nothing so my husband contacted Helen again, she said she was in hospital having had a heart attack, which we did not believe. After waiting a few more weeks we contacted the office again and it seems they were not aware of the problem and promised to sort it out quickly. Once again, we heard nothing and on following up, Helen, who had miraculously recovered, promised that things would be sorted out, but they were waiting for materials. BIG ALARM BELLS. We tried to contact the company again first week in June but got no response. These people are a bunch of ****** and have no idea what customer service is. We have heard rumours they have gone out of business......small wonder the way that customers are treated and the ******* they supply.

Disgusting company. We had Suntank solar panels installed with our solar geyser about 14 months ago in a brand new house. Most pathetic service i have ever dealt with. Bought a geyser via one of there suppliers. Paid a hamdsome amount and after 3yrs the geyser is leaking. The issue is my installer which is there supplier as well as myslef have tried over the past 6 to 7 months to get hold of them to sort the claim out. Absolutely no feedback whatsoever. Even called and spoke to 3 of there employers as well as whats app etc etc. Nothing. They keep promising t9 get back to you with absolutely nothing. I have records of calls as well as names as well as whats apps etc etc. Be very very weary of this company especially when it comes to there claims

Suntank Solar has been paid in full three weeks ago. Their employees have bern here twice. Once around 18:00 on a Friday and asked if he could come back on the Monday. No show. The second one was on his way also around 18:00. I told him we were on our way out to dinner he should come back the next morning. No show. I contacted Helen this morning and she said she would come back with a new date today. No show! This business is not recommended!

Try calling their number (012)006-5094. One get through to recording voice prompt to leave a message so they can call you back, but with no luck. I got through only one time and the lady took down my details for a technical advisor to call me back, Also with no luck. Why do the have a "Receptionist" if she doesn't do het job. Why doing Business with them if they can't even answer their calls. Not recommend to go with. I bought a new place and Unfortunately the developer used their product and I need technical advice as the geyser isn't doing what it's supposed to do.

If only I read these very negative reviews before I ordered three solar geysers systems from Suntanks. Never, ever, have I encountered such shocking service. Firstly, they advised the wrong panels, then 2 of them sprung leaks, and they have ignored us when it comes to repairing them. In addition, they have no service centre in the Cape, so they want us to pay the freight to Pretoria and back for them to repair these two (incorrect) leaking panels. Many times the switchboard just rings, Helen never responds and is useless, and messages for the owner, said to be Duram Guirie, also go unanswered. The website is a complete lie with its assurances of quality and service and guarantees. It is all meaningless. Never, ever, do business with Suntanks.

If only I read these very negative reviews before I ordered three solar geysers systems from Suntanks. Never, ever, have I encountered such shocking service. I am sure this Company has ANC affiliation, there service is exactly the same. I would not be surprised thats why they could not care about customers, as their main business must be goverment contacts. We had no power for 9 days , I had to use a generator to warm my geyser, as it is not working as a solar geyser at all. I have sent them a request to have this attended to , no response. I have had this geyser serviced regulary, in fact 5th of July 2022, I am sure nothing gets done on these services.

I am sure this Company has ANC affiliation, there service is exactly the same. I would not be surprised thats why they could not care about customers, as their main business must be goverment contacts. We had no power for 9 days , I had to use a generator to warm my geyser, as it is not working as a solar geyser at all. I have sent them a request to have this attended to , no response. I have had this geyser serviced regulary, in fact 5th of July 2022, I am sure nothing gets done on these services.

I installed two SunTank solar geysers just over 10 years ago on two different properties, with a 10yr guarantee. Have not received a response to my email of March 24 to date and therefore sending this report to you. (One geyser replaced under guarantee thanks to me tracking down the staff member who serviced it before. The second geyser has been a problem since installation and have had no success dealing with it.) Messages which were previously exchanged on WhatsApp were ignored. I left a message on Facebook, absolutely no response. Yet SunTank advertise their product/s immediately after the Government announcement promising a rebate on solar. I strongly felt the public ought to know that your sales are good but the after sales service is nonexistent. I waited for my geyser replacement for almost 4 months after it was cancelled on 8 November due to heavy rain and had it not been for the fact that I had retained Jerry’s cell number and elicited his assistance, I would not have heard from you as you ignored my emails and calls. This was finally replaced on 24 February 2023 without any apology for the delay or lack of response. I did not ask for a new warranty for the replacement…… I simply need to know if the new geyser has the same warranty which you now appear to answer. I will now simply await your reminder to service it as in the past 10 years. I repeatedly raised the problem of the second geyser at Oakdene which Jerry also knew was leaking both times he serviced both geysers and just filled them both with antifreeze before the warranty expired and I explained why this was specifically not documented because of the traumatic family circumstances. You said you would “look into it”. Jerry’s service report would have confirmed this. I strongly feel SunTank should have honoured this and replaced the tank as it had leaked before the warranty which had just recently expired. I told you that if SunTank do not replace it, my family will revert to electricity as I cannot afford to replace the geyser. For the record, the Oakdene geyser caused problems since installation due to being fitted on tiles which constantly were leaking due to the solar fittings and despite SunTank sending someone years back to check, it was left no better and had to be dealt with privately. My daughter informs me that there has been no benefit of solar and has had to rely on electricity for hot water. In effect, it has proven to be a worthless investment for me. I need not repeat my frustration and disappointment dealing with SunTank.
