I called Collen to come and repair a gas stove. They can out repaired it charged me R1600 It stopped working all was than a month of the so called repair having been done. I have tried calling and WhatsApp on numerous occasions Collen refuses to answer my calls. This is just a SCAM!!!! They repair things for about 5 min and as soon as you have paid the account the items stops working they refuse to take your calls and refuse to come out and fix the problem. DO NOT ISE THEM IT IS A SCAM!!!!!!!!!!!
I Went to Decofurn Decopark on Saturday 5th March to buy chairs for a breakfast area. Was not sure if they would work in the space so I asked if I could return them. I was told that as long as they were in the original packaging I would be able to do so. I was never told that I would be liable for a handling fee of any kind. On Monday morning 7th March first thing I returned them. Firstly the manager was called over to assist me. She spoke to me with such disdain I felt like a school girl in the headmistress ‘s office - asking me why I wanted to return the items. Her tone of voice and attitude toward me got my back up from the get go. Where did my rights as a consumer suddenly disappear to? She told me that she had to ask permission to give me a refund. What absolute bull c***p . I was under the impression that as a consumer I had the right to change my mind within a reasonable period of time. They made me wait at the reception / till area for about 20min while she tried to call the refund permission police. Eventually I told the young lady at the till that I had another appointment and wanted to know how much longer I would have to wait. “ Another 5min” she replied. By that time I was already annoyed and seething on the inside. The manger returned and told me they would refund me BUT!!! I had to pay a 5% HANDLING FEE!!! What the F*****K. No body told me that I had to pay money to bring items back that did not work in my space. “What am I paying this handling fee for”? I asked. “ Administration fee” the manager replied That’s when I lost my sh***t “Just give me back my money” I said not caring who was listening . She insisted I come into her office I refused! “ Just give me back my money “ I said loudly She called the refund police again and handed the phone to me. I tried to explain that I bought the items under the impression that I would be able to change them should they not work which they didn’t. I also told him that the previous week I had bought two queen size beds, mattress ,headboards and mattress protectors for over 23k. The refund police was not interested !!! I told him I was planning to come back to purchase other items as I am furnishing an air B&B. Still no interest . All he wanted was his 5% which amounted to all of R198.80 “What is the handling fee for” I asked. “ Administration” he answered “What kind of administration” I asked “ the goods were not even opened “ I returned them in the same packaging without even opening the boxes. The extent of help by the staff was to take them out of my car and carry them to the factory . “We had to generate and invoice “ said the refund police. “ What the F****ck. You charged me R199.80 just to generate an invoice “ ????!!! I can’t even wrap my head around that!!! Moral of this story. Decofurn has no idea what customer service is all about. From the staff on the floor to the management in their hideaway offices. They are clueless. They would rather irritate and annoy their customers ,steal their money and never have them set foot in their store again for a measly R199.80 which for them is but a drop in the ocean but for the consumer out there, a substantial amount of money. I was appalled and mortified at their response , reaction and handling of the situation. I have gone through a lot of the reviews on this store and none are higher than a one star rating with many complaints about poor service bad quality and bad customer relations. I hope to God the beds I bought don’t fall apart in the future. I should have checked the reviews before I bought anything from them, but at this stage I’m not holding my breath. Mr Graeme Laaks. To you I say. “ Train your staff in customer relations however … this type of behavior usually stems from the top!! You got your R199.80 but I will never set foot in your store again. Be warned …..If those beds that I bought from your store break, or fall apart I am coming for you one way or another.” SPREAD THE WORD PEOPLE THEY DON’T DESERVE OUR BUSINESS
