I am very disappointed in takealot that now makes me pay a Takealotmore subscription for less benifits than what I had before paying the subscription. I have been a long client of takealot and always got deliverys for free over R500 from Takealot in the past and me being in an outbound area deliveries would be between 2 to 5 working days. Now I pay the subscription now I have to order over R650 for free delivery and have to wait for 11 working days for delivery on item that are in stock at suppliers and there benifits are serposibly "next day delivery". I understand I stay in a outbound area so next day delivery in not likely possible but now I pay for benifits that I had and they take double so long to deliver to my location that is like the saying goes in south Africa as soon as you have to pay for a service then you you don't get it. And the mr. D foods benifits that are included in the Takealotmore that I must pay for means nothing to me as there is no restaurant close to my location. I and very disappointed in takealot's new move to make more money of there clients to do less than before. I understand why some people prefer other online shops. I could get things from temu that I use and still gets imported in the same time as takealot's delivery time after this Takealotmore. To add on to this I have now ordered again from Takealot through Takealot more a month after the last order and now I have been waiting for 3 days of out for delivery and everytime the Takealot support promise me it will be delivered today but the parcel never comes that day. Very disappointed in Takealot I hope there will be a company that soon can source the same things as takealot then I would rather use them.
I am very happy with there service, I had 4 50kg fragile parcels that had to be shipped from JHB to Western Cape out bounding area. The parcels were in 2 days in cape town. At that moment spoke to one of there representatives to make sure they can deliver to my area as where I stay only sertain couriers deliver in. The rep told me they can't deliver to my area as they do not cover it so he said he will organize with another courier that does my area to get the parcels to me. Within 2 days after that the parcels were delivered with no damage. I am someone that work with alot of courier companies with my work and had alot of the time having to keep on phoning them as the have excuses why they can't deliver my parcels in the specified time or the parcels gets delivered to wrong address. My experience with freightmore was so far the easiest transport of big parcels from JHB to my area I wish more courier companies could take pride in the courier services like them today.
