We booked a stay over package at the spa and WE LEFT MORE EXHAUSTED THAN WHEN WE ARRIVED. Don't waste your money here, there are plenty of beautiful hotels that keep up to modern needs (i.e. working aircons, good WiFi, actual coffee machines and smart tv's). There are places that are well kept, where the rooms are clean and where the managers and staff actually like what they do and are passionate enough to care what their customers think. Misty Hills Hotel and Spa is not one of those places. The rate of these rooms on booking.com makes no sense to me (14 000 a night) - This place has a serious cheap motel vibe. I've had better experiences at self catering AirBnB's. The restaurant manager (Mlindi) and restaurant staff are wonderful. However, the rooms aren't nicely cleaned or maintained. Everything is outdated, especially appliances and the wifi is terrible. The place is massive so be prepared for walking. So many spiders and cobwebs. I will never go back, and would not recommend Misty Hills + Spa to anyone. Not worth it.
Jackie is an excellent representative! The call was so quick and easy and super informative. Such a lovely, warm person which is what you need when it comes to your pets!
I ordered an Uber Connect to send a package. I selected MEET AT DOOR and not meet at curb. After getting a driver, I sent him a polite message and reiterated that I’d like him to collect the package at my door, due to me being sick. The driver came into my estate after reading my message. After no response, I checked out the window to see if he was there. He was. He didn’t answer my request for him to come to the door. So I messaged him again and said that I’ll come down, as it was CLEAR he wasn’t bothered to meet me at the door. As I walked down the stairs he proceeded to turn his car around and leave. He didn’t cancel the trip so I asked why he was leaving. He responded with “U dont respect my time”. This isn’t my first bad experience with Uber. I wouldn’t have actually minded if he answered my message and said he can’t come up the stairs to collect the package but he chose to ignore my request and sit and wait - ultimately wasting his OWN time. WHY is there a MEET AT DOOR option if your drivers refuse to care? I have screenshots of the whole conversation and also the drivers details. Let’s see if Uber cares at all about this review.
