Took my vehicle in for a side smash repair which was quite bad. M & L managed to replace most parts with OEM parts and all repair work was done to perfection. I haven't come across any other panel shop that can deliver this quality of workmanship.
So I took out a contract in 2019. It was a 24-month data only contract that should have expired this year MAY. I called vodacom accounts department in order to cancel. I was then informed that my contact is a 36 month contract and will only expire in 2023. I then went to the store where I took out the contract and the store informed me that it is a 24 month contract. They log a service request to updated the correct contact term on the sytem. I was informed it was updated and on the 3rd of May I recieved a sms saying my cancelation has been processed. I was also informed that my last debit date would be on the 1st of June 2022 and all data should be used by the 30th. On the 24th of June I received sms informing me of a debit order that will go off on the 1st of July. I called vodacom accounts department and a lady by the name of Rejoice informed me that my contact was never canceled and it still shows on the system that I have a 36 month contract. I went back to the vodacom parow center store where I took the contract out and a lady by the name of Nakita told me my contact showed cancelled on the system and my number has been moved back to predaid. I was also told that the lady from the accounts department lied to me. I informed both Nakita and Rejoice that should my account be debited I will definitely reverse the debit order. I will never take out another contract with vodacom again due to me having to go through all the trouble to cancel my contract and i should my account be debited again on the 1st of July, I will definitely report them to the ombudsman. How many other people have this not happened too which the service provider got away with.
