I am extremely disappointed in Walmart SA and regret choosing them for my Christmas shopping. I placed an order, paid in full, and the money was deducted from my account , yet my order never processed, and the items are still sitting in my cart! These were gifts and essentials for Christmas lunch, and now I’m left scrambling because of their incompetence. I have NEVER experienced such pathetic service with competitors like Pick n Pay ASAP or Checkers 60/60. To make matters worse, their response was to ask for my PayShap ID or banking details so they can “escalate” the refund, which could take 2–10 business days. This is completely unacceptable! I don’t have extra funds to place another order elsewhere, and this delay has ruined my plans. I even considered visiting the store, but this experience has left a terrible taste. Walmart SA’s app is unreliable, and their customer service is shockingly poor. Avoid using the app at all costs!
I am deeply disappointed and frustrated with Discovery Bank’s handling of a serious dispute that has caused financial chaos in my life. On 28 July 2025, I made a payment of R2,519.10 for a gift. The supplier confirmed receipt on that date. Yet on 29 August, after my salary was paid, I discovered that the same amount had been deducted again—a full month later—without any pending transaction notice or explanation. This duplicate deduction has left me scrambling. My debit orders are bouncing, my financial obligations are compromised, and I’ve had to endure unnecessary stress and reputational damage. I logged a formal dispute immediately, provided all supporting documentation, and requested urgent feedback. And now? I’m told it could take up to 90 days to resolve. Ninety days to fix a mistake that took seconds to make. That’s not just poor service—it’s negligent and unacceptable. The Discovery Bank app showed no pending transactions, no alerts, and no transparency. Their support channels have been slow, vague, and dismissive. I’ve lost trust in Discovery Bank. Once this is resolved (if ever), I will be moving my finances elsewhere. No customer should be treated this way. Discovery Bank, you need to do better. Urgently.
I made a purchase on 28 July from a merchant, payment went through, but weeks later my bank deducted two pending payments totaling R5,000 from Peach Payments. This left me short and forced me to cancel my own and my son’s birthday celebration for tomorrow. Absolutely unacceptable and pathetic service.
