I’m extremely frustrated with Eskom’s lack of action on a PAID new electricity connection.
I’ve followed up for nearly 2 months. The delay is apparently due to Eskom trying to locate equipment/material linked to a contractor who no longer works there. This internal issue should not prevent my connection. Escalations acknowledged my case on 23 April and said it was referred to Acquisitions. I followed up on 28 April, 4 May and again after 5 May when I was promised an update “by midday tomorrow” — still nothing. I’m moving into my home within 2 weeks with no confirmed installation date.1 reply
