My husband & I were in desperate need of a getaway & we couldn’t have chosen a better place to stay! As we drove down the rose lined driveway that looks fit for royalty, we could already feel ourselves relax a bit! We stayed at one of the campsites, which is surrounded by beautiful gardens that seem to go on & on! Amidst the heat we were blessed to be able to camp beneath the trees & listen to the birds & bees! An oasis amidst the dry arid Karoo surroundings! The toilets are in excellent condition & the showers offer a wonderful & unique experience as they are outdoor showers – which we loved! There are glamping tents available as well as their camp sites. We used the Sanctuary Guest Farm as a base to go to Mountain Zebra National Park & we spent the hot summer afternoons beneath the trees at the Sanctuary Farm. The Sanctuary Guest Farm is a +/- 20 minute drive from the town of Cradock, the dirt road (+/- 9 mins) is fit for any normal car, just a bit bumpy, but so worth it! Sanctuary Guest Farm offers communal undercover braai area, tea & coffee making facilities, fridge, freezer & dining area. Erika, our host was friendly & accommodating! Our only regret is that we wish we had more time to spend there!

Got glasses for the first time, used Spec-Savers in Beacon Bay. They were awesome throughout the whole process - I highly recommend them.
Don't waste your time or money - I know I wish I hadn't... it's a long story but worth the read if you are considering moving to Cell C. I was looking to move cellphone providers, so I researched options with different providers, went in &asked many questions. Made sure I could keep my number, there were no setup or cancellation fees, it was month to month, it wasn’t a limited time offer & could be cancelled at any time… 31.03.23 - After reviewing, I decided to go with Cell C, seemed the best option. Went into Hemmingways, they didn’t have any sim cards so couldn’t assist. 3.04.23 - Went again to Hemmingways. Nicole assisted & suggested that they port the number first, which they did (request my number be moved Vodacom to Cell C). 5.04.23 - Again went into Hemmingways, I was told it would be a vey quick & seamless process. Sat there for 1 hour only to find out that now the Pinnacle 2 option was not available on their in store system. (DESPITE ME ASKING ON THE 31st March if the deal was for a limited time, I was assured it was not). Helpdesk advised I will have to do it online as it is now only available online. Rush back to work, still not setup. 6.04.23 - Went online and activated the pinnacle 2, which you have to pay immediately for. Pro-rata amount deducted from my account, however no voice minutes or data activated. Called the helpline twice, first call lasting just under 18 minutes & the second 10 minutes. The Help center played tennis with my call both times, they literally transferred me from department to department where I had to explain the entire story EVERY time. I also explained that I had just been transferred from that department & they couldn't assist, this was how it carried on. In the end, they advised there is nothing they could do. But quite frankly it was obvious they didn't care. I thought perhaps I just got the wrong people & if I tried again, surely someone would be able to assist, however the second call was no different to the first. The only suggestion they could make was to wait until the next day, maybe then it will load what I paid for. 8.04.23 - Easter Saturday - still no data or voice minutes loaded. I go back into Hemmingways, surely they will be able to assist. Assisted again by Nicole, who called the helpdesk…. & what do you know they too play tennis with her call & can't assist in any way. She called head office, who too were unable to assist, something about being offline. Nicole apologizes & says she is sorry but they will probably have to refund the money but she can't assist me at this point. I told her that wasn't good enough. She then called her manager who was not working that day & they too did not care, can't do anything. I expressed my dissatisfaction, she then offered to top up my phone with 300MB 20 minutes of calls to any network, out of her own pocket. Must be horrible working for a company that is so useless that you literally have to pay for the incompetence if you work for them!!! She said she would follow up & let me know what was happening. 18.04.23 - Haven't heard from Cell C, so I send a whatsapp message with the details. It is read however no one responds. 19.04.23 - Call Hemmingways Cell C, Nicole is not in, so a gentleman tries to assist me & he says he needs to contact the credit check department to find out what is going on & he will get back to me. He calls me back within 5 minutes, but is not able to assist & his suggestion is that I contact the very unhelpful helpdesk. I ask for the CEO Complaints line number that I happened to notice when I was there last… 11.45am - First attempt at calling the CEO complaints line - Automated answering please hold while your call is transferred & please stay on the line afterwards to rate the call. Just transfers me to the rate the call. 11.48am Second attempt - Automated answering system, hold & then I can hear two people talking to each other, but they don't answer me. After trying to get them to talk to me for about a minute I give up & hang up. 11.50am Third time has got to be the charm right?! On hold for 12 minutes, at which point I give up. SO SAVE YOUR MONEY & TIME – go with any other network!!!!!!

Umuthi Botanicals is the BEST- for quality, prices & service! I have ordered their essential oils online several times now & always receive them soon after ordering. Nice selection to choose from all at fantastic prices! Really impressed with the exceptional customer service I receive each & every time I deal with this company. They even graciously answered my many questions I had about essential oils!! And all with the added bonus of supporting a South African company.
Do not shop using Mr Price Home ONLINE!!! If I could give them a 0 star rating I would...We wanted to purchase a TV cabinet that Mr P Home at Vincent Park had displayed on their floor, however they did not have any stock. They placed an online order, which we had to pay for in full, which we did on the 1st Sept 2022. When it arrived at store +/- 9 days later, we picked it up from the store, took it home, only to find they sent us the wrong colour. Then we had to take it back to the store to return it (not an easy feat, by the way!) & re-order the correct one. But there was loadshedding (granted this is beyond their control...), so the refund could not be immediately processed. I had to go back to the store a third time. I don't have a lot of spare time, so to have to go to the store three times for pretty much nothing; as you can imagine, becomes frustrating. I'm not sure why the cabinet would be offered if it's not even available & then just to send the incorrect one to the customer, assuming that it will be ok. It wasn't easy to collect the item, let alone return it again. All could have been avoided if we were originally advised that there were no cabinets in stock at the time of purchase. I could have also then sourced an alternative TV cabinet & already had it at home, without having to wait this whole time. However this is not even my gripe… three days after I had returned the item, I receive an email stating they do not even have the colour we ordered… at all. They asked if they can send us what they have or would I like a refund. I promptly advised I would like a refund. At which point they send me a Mr Price Home voucher… grrrrr. I emailed and advised that I want my money returned to me. They requested proof of banking details (which I sent immediately) & they advised that the funds would be refunded with 3-5 business days. It’s been 7 business days, I’ve sent three emails asking for an update & when the funds will be returned, with no response. This whole ordeal has taken 30 days… I just want my money back & to be done with them. So do yourself a favour and stay clear from Mr Price Home…. Go anywhere else!!!!!
