One would think that dealing with a trusted brand will give you some comfort, however my experience with Pratley has been one where they do not take the time to understand the issue or consider the possibility that their customer could be correct. I had bought the Pratley pearl product to apply on top of my plaster for the benefit of insulation. I was given the assurance that the product will work and this retrospective application was possible. My contractors were provided training on the application by the Pratley representatives. A few areas were app**** in the presence of the representatives, and the training was also done on the property. A year later, some areas started cracking and we had to remove the application. I contacted Pratley, and the reason given was that the application was probably not done correctly. Another year later, more areas started cracking and had to be removed. Called Pratley again, and received the same reason. A further year later, the areas that were app**** in the presence of the Pratley representatives started coming off / cracking and had to be removed. At this point, all the Pratley pearl app**** has been removed. Pratley is still denying that the retrospective application to plaster does not work. I have also them to provide me with references from applications, and to date they cannot provide this.
Purchased a lamb pack from the above branch and upon unpacking we discovered that the quantity reflected on the label was grossly more than what we received. We drove back to the shop but it was closed. I then took a picture of the pack and the weight. On my next visit I spoke with the manager and showed him the picture. He asked that I sms the picture to him which I did. He then said that he did not receive the sms and asked me to whatsap the same to him so that he could follow up with his butcher. I received a voice message from the Butcher who admitted that their scale were wrong and that I should bring back the meat for him to repack!! It does concern me that their scales are meant to be certified and I cannot understand how this sort of mistake can happen. I also previously ordered Mutton knuckles from the butcher at foods lovers and when he packed the same for me he charged me the same price for the mutton as lamb. Food lovers were running a mutton promotion which was approximately R10 cheaper than lamb. When I questioned the butcher, his answer was that he charges the same for the knuckle as lamb knuckle because he can. I would not be shopping at that butcher again!!
