City Property is not responding to my deposit refund request. They finalized my moving out checklist in June. They were waiting to finalize the water and sewage charges for the end of the month. To date I am not receiving any feedback despite my emails. You have to hound them to try and get your deposit back. I am currently at their office on Harrison. Been waiting for a hour to get assistance. It's like they make you wait on purpose. Feedback is important!. This is for Trading Spaces salon 0221
I leased out a space for a salon from City Property through a broker of theirs i.e. **** Pit Estates in the inner city at Trading Spaces. We chose a space suitable for our needs which has a window and a geyser. The tiles had to redone as they were not level. The broker did mention that the space will be sorted out before the move in once we have made payment to City Prop. Payment was done, lease was signed with Melody from City Prop. We then advised her that the tiles still need to be sorted out as promised. She then advised that she will look into it however they would probably level the space only but she would get back to us. Space was levelled, no feedback from her with the issue. Upon following up she mentions that she told us that they would only level the floor. Other salons within the same building are all tiled except ours. We were even advised beforehand that we must move in and they will sort it out while we are there. We refused and to date we have not moved in. A promise was made and must be kept hence our choice in the first place which led us to sign the contract in the first place. We need a resolution to this asap and integrity with your business dealings. The broker still represents City Property and acted in your interest.
