After struggling for almost 3 years to have the provident fund I had with Sanlam for my deceased domestic worker, paid out to her beneficiaries, I contacted the Pension Funds Adjudicator. Tinyiko Shihundla made it happen within less than 3 months from the date the complaint was lodged. Sterling service!
Wonderful assistance received from Maurice. He helped me to decrease my payments. King Price is tops, as is their fabulous staff.
What a blessing to be an AA member. Just a month ago I received a notification to extend my membership if interested. I thought for a moment, considering I had not used it before - but then extended nevertheless. Today, needing assistance, I was thrilled about the service. With AA trouble does not equal inconvenience.
I miss GEMS everyday. A medical aid, that ensure prompt deliveries at your doorstep AHEAD of time. Two or three times there were delays. It was resolved using courier services to do urgent deliveries on a Saturday. I was a member for over a decade, believing GEMS was simply doing what medical aids do. How wrong I was. Every stressful month I wish I had said: 'Thank you' more often. I say it now. Thank you GEMS - if I had not left Government, I'd be at your doorstep, begging you to take me in again.
After my original complaint pertaining to non-payments to beneficiaries of the provident fund for my deceased domestic worker, a Sanlam representative contacts me, confirms the system has recorded activity for Aug 2022. They will verify why there was no further progress. Today I receive an email: There never was a policy for my domestic worker (I paid for 11 years). After 12 months of correspondence all records dissappeared?
I have waited for Sanlam, since April 2022, to pay out the provident fund I had for my domestic worker. A mere R60 000 (including R10 000 for the funeral!). She died last year April and her beneficiaries are still waiting. All follow-ups have been fruitless.
