Still waiting for delivery
Week 12-15 June '23, phoned everyone day for meds. After probably 10 phone calls on 15 June '23, I was promised meds would be delivered but only after 17:00. Didn't receive anything. Went without meds Thursday, Friday & Saturday morning. Had to phone my doctor for a script for the meds I needed desperately. Paid for those meds out of my own pocket 'cause Marara already claimed those items. I was supposed to fly to Durban Saturday 17 June '23. Couldn't go just because of an *********** pharmacy who doesn’t deliver. Never experienced this with Medipost. One plan leave, for yourself as well as to give all work colleagues a chance to have a rest. Things like this throws everything & everyone around. What is GEMS doing about this? Do you want members to be hospitalized? Today 19 June '23, have to go on fighting for meds that I still haven't received. Marars claimed meds, it must be delivered!!

Non delivery of chronic meds
Marara is a terrible and absolutely *********** service provider. I've received my chronic meds for many years, Medipost always delivered on time. I've been phoning Marara every day for the past week. Every time I'm being promised I will get my meds just to realise that I've been bluffed. Don't know what GEMS think they will get from appointing this *********** service provider. I've been part of GEMS since they began, I never struggled this much to get meds. Was the tender given to a relative with no clue to what to do?

Wheelchair repairs: go back and back
CE Mobility did repairs on my wheelchair in April 2021. The bearings they replaced were bigger that the original size. Now, (Dec 2022) the "new" bearings broke completely. My son-in-law replaced the "new" with the "old". I received my wheelchair in 2015. The labour has to be paid cash, which is ±R450. How can one put bearings in wheels which is not the correct size? Or does one have to go back more than once for a proper service delivery which should have happed the first-time round? And at the of the day, only labour will cost you more than R1000.00 if you have to go back and back and back!!
