I have been trying to access my account since 2022. Turns out they took down my ID number incorrectly from a FICA document. Finally think I have access, only to find out they have not captured my cell number correctly. The call centre agents cannot help you beyond the script they're reading off of. When I asked the rep a question she didn't know the answer to, she just stayed silent on the other side of the call while I repeatedly had to ask if she was still there. When asked if I could get her response in writing or be transferred to a department that could update my details, she told me just to email and wait. However, my emails are then met with no response.
I have never been so appalled by the utter lack of respect shown to a customer. After a 6 month back and forth with MWeb, spending thousands on data as I had no wifi, hours listening to call centre music trying to remedy my issues, and over 1K debit orders which did not make sense since I was only signed up for a R450 contact, I have nothing else to say but MWeb is a scam. As a young adult I do not make a lot of money, I have been left with drips and drabs of a budget as all my money has been sapped up by MWeb only for them to tell me “my issue has been escalated”. To whom is yet to be revealed. Do NOT trust this company.
