Can someone just answer the ******* phone. I have been trying to contact city varsity for the last 2 weeks with listening to your stupid music and voice automation saying your call is 1st in in line, I have spent over 12hours in the last 2 weeks just waiting on hold and no one answering!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Here we are once again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ABSA insurance and ABSA bank is *******. ABSA Bank will not reverse an unauthorized debit order done by ABSA insurance because it is internal yet if it was another insurance ABSA bank would have reversed it. How pathetic. My policy was cancelled in OCTOBER for many reasons, lets not get into it, I called after the usually hour long wait to get someone to talk to, they verified my bank details have been removed and it will no longer be debited. Right November all good no Debits. Then BAM here comes December well over the actual debit date, they take R1208 from my account, money that was left there for my daughters eye appointment which is today. Do you think ABSA Insurance will return any of my emails, or actually help me when I do get through to pathetic call centre, no, silence, they ***** your money then think you must just accept it. I WANT MY MONEY BACK ABSA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! References: C-47457143. C-47239592.
Good Day ABSA Activate Insurance is the worst ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I absolutely regret switching from previous insurer to them!!!! Note this is my very first month with them imagine having a claim!!!!!!!!!! To try getting through to their call centre is insane, your waiting time is anywhere from 1 hour until 3 hours, then when someone does answer they transfer you and the call ends up been dropped and then you have to start all over again!!!!!!!!! They have double debited me for insurance and refuse to refund the one payment!!! Taking my food off my table!!!!!!!!! Stating the double debit was because I never made payment yet its my first month with them, and I was advised when signing up even when I queried this as it was strange, they stated they debit in arrears, so policy starts the 1st of September first payment the 25th September next payment for October would be 25th October, now when I call in its a whole different story, stating I never paid September and now I must for both September and October. How is this my fault they debited wrong from the start of the policy. Keep in mind my partner has a ABSA activate insurance policy that started exactly the same time 1st September and debits off my bank account, yet his was only debited once, why not twice as well? As if my was in arrears his would be as well!!!!!!!!! When I finally got through to someone named Nqobile Mbhele, she was very neverminded and disregarded the information I gave her, I even stated they can pull up the recorded calls where the consultant stated how the payments work and that the error is not mine, Nqobile could have just not been bothered and stated they will not refund my money.!!!!!!!!!!!!! Very pathetic understanding and service from the consultant. I am now waiting on a call from the Manager Simangele Khumalo, which I really doubt I will get a call back and I will have to constantly call in and I really do not see ABSA Activate resolving this. They will not take responsibility of their mistake and refund me my one payment. They will mostly likely just expect me to except it and suffer without the money. Life is expensive and we all budget accordingly, extra money taken away can be very devasting to come, me been one.
I recently updated my policy with Lerato Sebiloane, he gave excellent quality service, friendly and answered all my questions with ease. This is my first time been insured and was always hesitant because of stories ive read and heard but been with discovery for a little over a year now and i absolutely love them. Always helpful no matter who i speak to. Claim process can be done online and it always gets resolved quickly and efficiently. I love discovery insure and would recommend them to anyone.
