Eye test on 23Jan for new bifocal lenses. By 19 February still awaiting notification of readiness despite two in person enquiries. On 19 Feb in person enquiry is met with 5 behind the counter females chit chatting with each other. When asked who is in charge one person took up the issue. Another person phoned the lab where it was revealed that the lenses were ready. We were told to go to the town branch which we refused. Frames already in use were handed over with the advice that they would be available in an hour. On return in the afternoon one assistant stepped forward and handed over the spectacles together with an Afrikaans reading card, knowing full well that we are English. The ladies behind the counter ignored us completely. With the appalling service one could have expected an apology for the long delay. Total ignorance of how to treat customers. Having dealt with Bierman Malan Whale Coast mall over many years, never again.
An inverter purchased in July 2022, returned faulty in early December 2022, under warranty, finally took communication with the CEO to get a response and a refund. Shocking service from the call centre.
8 December Loot received faulty inverter for replacement. Supposed to take 3-5 working days for assessment. Today 19 January no news, no response to several phone enquiries or E-mails, despite promises to call back. Their statement that “Customer service to the highest standard is their main priority” is not true. They couldn’t care less. Beware people. A lesson hard learnt, not to trust them or keep to their word. A shockingly expensive lesson, having lost R8k, I’ll afforded by a pensioner, leaving us quite literally in the dark. I’ll never buy from them again. So very disappointed.
