Eye test on 23Jan for new bifocal lenses. By 19 February still awaiting notification of readiness despite two in person enquiries. On 19 Feb in person enquiry is met with 5 behind the counter females chit chatting with each other. When asked who is in charge one person took up the issue. Another person phoned the lab where it was revealed that the lenses were ready. We were told to go to the town branch which we refused. Frames already in use were handed over with the advice that they would be available in an hour. On return in the afternoon one assistant stepped forward and handed over the spectacles together with an Afrikaans reading card, knowing full well that we are English. The ladies behind the counter ignored us completely. With the appalling service one could have expected an apology for the long delay. Total ignorance of how to treat customers. Having dealt with Bierman Malan Whale Coast mall over many years, never again.

Today I recieved the most outstanding and professional service from Sanet and her team at Biermand du Plessis Optometrists at Midville Centre in Durbanville. Thank you Sanet and team.

Both my wife and I recently visited Bierman Strauss Optometrists in Sunvalley Mall, Noordhoek. Abraham Strauss and his team were professional, friendly and extremely efficient; on top of that the prices were affordable and the spectacles perfect for us both. I highly recommend Bierman Strauss for all Capetonians: you won't get better service.

If it was possible to give y'all zero star , I could have but lucky for y'all the internet doesn't allow me. I am upset extremely upset at the service I received at your practice after supporting y'all for years. I made my mom a appointment via their Facebook, and they got back to me and gave me a date to come and see the optometrist, I came in with my mom on the 26\04\2021 and optometrist saw my mom and told my mom that she shouldn't stay with the same glasses for long because it will make her become blind quicker, she should always come in 2 years and get herself sorted. And afterwards the receptionist told us that my mom glasses with take 5 days to get ready. We waited until the 6th day then I facebook them and I asked them you people promised me that my glasses will be ready within 5 days but today is the 6th day and we still waiting on it. No response from optometrist because he is the one who handles the facebook page. Then on Saturday we went in around 4:30 and I met with one of receptionist and she told me that the glasses is still not available and the lab still got it but she will call me on Monday to let me know. I waited until 12 for a call from their practice no call whatsoever then i called them and i spoke with the same receptionist, she told she got to call the lab and let me know. At this point i am extremely upset because she promised me a call on Monday so she can check with the lab but she didn't and she is promising me the same thing but I was like ok I will be waiting I gave her my phone number so she can call me back. Guess what I waited until 4:40pm no call whatsoever, I called in again then i spoke with a different receptionist at this point this new receptionist got all the heat but she was on leave and she only came back today. She told me she gonna call me back she got to call the lab. She called the lab then she called me back and told me that the lab mix my mom reading glass with the sun glass so I have to wait but by Friday my glasses will be available. So meaning all this calling and facebook I did, nobody did nothing to solve the issue for me , they didn't even call the lab to know the problem. They all just sat on it and when I am saying them, I speaking about the optometrist and the receptionist. They want to make my mom blind because my mom is still using the same glasses up to this day. I will never support them again , they are unprofessional and I can't suggest anyone to do so. This will be my last time supporting them.
