I would just like to commend Big Sky Intercity bus services. The buses are always clean and the drivers are super friendly. The 4 or 5 times I've travelled with them has been so satisfying. And the bonus? They are 99% of the time on time! What more can I ask for? I'll be travelling with Big Sky Intercity later this year from Aliwal North to Worcester as they offer a direct trip. Well done, Big Sky!!
I've been with Capitec Bank for many years and have always received excellent service. Staff is friendly and helpful. The banking app is one of the easiest to use & navigate. Issues are resolved quickly and I'm kept up to date with what's happening. Important information is communicated well. Their banking fees is R7.50 a month - so affordable! Best bank! I will never move away from Capitec.
booked a ticket with Greyhound online - see above ticket no - for dep. Bloemfontein to Worcester on 25th Jan at 21h00, arrival at 7.35am on the Greyhound Premium bus. Just to be informed a half hour before departure that bus is delayed with 2 & a quarter hour - to now depart Bloem at 23.15pm. Upon arrival back at Bloemfontein bus depot, I waited & waited in vain. Upon investigation, I was told by an Eldo Coaches worker that bus was at Engen garage to refuel (this was at appr. 23:40pm) Drivers were apparently waiting for authorisation to pay for fuel & would leave shortly thereafter. At 00.35am I was told that driver's card to pay for fuel/diesel declined (another passenger was told the exact same story) & awaited money to clear before they could pay & leave. The bus arrived in Bloem 00.52am & passengers were loaded & luggage was literally thrown in the baggage loading area & not packed neatly as its supposed to be done. Eventually we left Bloem. It was too good to be true. The bus travelled very slowly & stopped along the highway (N1) & about 5min or so rode again, still very slowly. A few km's further the bus stopped again & switched off the engine. I asked the driver what the problem was & he said the air brakes were faulty rendering the bus unsafe. As it also rained quite heavily in the Bloem area, the bus passage was wet & passengers seated on the upper level in the front got wet from the rain - water leaking into the bus. The aircon / airvents at seats were also NOT working & there were NO charging points to charge one's cell phone - and yet you blatantly advertise these features on YOUR website! And another thing - this bus I had the misfortune to travel on was definately not luxurious or spacious at all as per your false advertising. The driver informed the passengers that seeing we were only about 30kms away from Bloem, the bus would return to the depot & wait for a mechanic to do the necessary repairs. I chose to disembark as there was NO WAY in hell I was going to wait - goodness knows how long that was going to take? And another think - what if the bus breaks again further along the way?? When I got off the bus, the driver opened the luggage compartment & my brand new suitcase fell onto the ground on the side, making a huge dent!!! Don't you teach your drivers to pack the luggage neatly to make sure something like this doesn't happen? The replacement bus they send "approaching Vaal Plaza" (sms sent by th at 5.05am Thu 26th Jan) only left Bloemfontein depot at 9.50am! I expect a refund on my ticket as well as replacement/compensation on my new (now damaged) suitcase. It is now 04:55am & the bus is still in Bloem!! What the hell is going on?? Doesn't your company care anymore about the passengers that pay a lot of money to travel & this is how you repay them? Absolutely shocking! I will NEVER travel with Greyhound ever again & I will definately not recommend your bus services to anyone! Your company really has to address these issues & step up. Intetcape & CitiBug will get my business in future. After numerous emails to their customer care line, I've had NO response. Just shows you the total disregard & disrespect they show their Customers! I have no lodged a complaint with the SA Consumer Council - maybe they can help.
