I have emailed them the very same night I was on the bus, up until now no respond. The service is very bad the bus in comfortable. We have been given a bus that was not check before leaving for departure. They couldn't get any gears we got stuck on a robot in Bloemfontein we couldn't move at all, I was with my child in that bus driving with them for the very first time. Bt never again!! Plus the drivers had asked me for money but my child was sitting on my lap and she is under 2,bad bad very bad for business Bus number:856

I am extremely disappointed in Big Sky Intercity and the level of service I’ve experienced—not once, but twice. Yesterday, we booked tickets for a 07:15 departure. I phoned about 40 minutes before departure to inform them that we were slightly delayed due to heavy traffic. Instead of any understanding or assistance, the lady I spoke to was rude and dismissive, telling me it was “our problem” and that we should make another plan or travel to the next stop at 07:47—which was an hour away. As a result, I lost the R620 I paid for the tickets and had to spend another R940 for new ones. What makes this worse is that this is not the first time. Just last month, we arrived 30–40 minutes early as instructed, waited nearly 20 minutes past departure time, and when I called, I was told the bus had already come and left. We had to rebook again, losing another R700. On top of that, the replacement bus scheduled for 17:00 arrived almost 2 hours late, with absolutely no communication—no messages, no emails, no updates. If I hadn’t repeatedly called for information, we would have been left completely in the dark. This level of poor communication, lack of accountability, and rude customer service is unacceptable. Passengers are expected to follow strict rules, yet the company fails to meet even basic service standards. I will not be using this service again unless serious improvements are made.

I am extremely disappointed in Big Sky Intercity and the level of service I’ve experienced—not once, but twice. Yesterday, we booked tickets for a 07:15 departure. Had two trips on the Cape Town to Durban route booked for my wife from George to PE. Going there the Bus was 1h30min late. Coming back it had a 2 hour delay. Then on route had to make a u-turn at the Tsitsikamma toll gate because they left a passenger at the Tsitsikamma petro port. Another delay. I will definitely not recommend using this service. No apology, just excuses.

am writing to formally complain about the poor service my wife experienced on 06 February 2026 regarding Route Pretoria to durban via Kimberley. My wife boarded the bus at Ladybrand garage at approximately 21h40. Shortly after, the bus broke down between Clocolan and Ficksburg. Passengers were left stranded for almost 4 hours before a replacement bus arrived. As a result of this breakdown, she was left traumatised and shocked. I expect a higher standard of service and proper maintenance of your vehicles. She was supposed to be in Durban at 6h30 but she arrived at 12h00 pm. They did not even offer them anything food or drinks as compensation even an apology

I tried to phone the Call Center to lay a complaint but the phone never got answered. The driver showed NO care or concern for the lives or property of his passengers or other road users. I have no doubt this complaint will go unheeded as further bus accidents take the lives of innocent people. Potential Passengers, USE THIS SERVICE AT YOUR PERIL

I would just like to commend Big Sky Intercity bus services. The buses are always clean and the drivers are super friendly. The 4 or 5 times I've travelled with them has been so satisfying. And the bonus? They are 99% of the time on time! What more can I ask for? I'll be travelling with Big Sky Intercity later this year from Aliwal North to Worcester as they offer a direct trip. Well done, Big Sky!!

I am utterly disappointed, the departure times were changed 2 times and I really want to be booked in a bus that departures either 30 minutes earlier of departure time or a bus that will depart after 17h30. I strategically chose the time I chose to depart given the circumstances that need me in Welkom. I demand to be reinstated into a bus that fits my schedule ASAP.
