On the 7th Feb 26, My son and i were travelling to Cape Town and were just before Laingsberg. We were the second car behind a pantechnikon when A bigsky bus ICG 099 GP, came up beside us on the wrong side of the road and began forcing the two cars to move out of its way. It then overtook into oncoming traffic forcing the pantechnicon to swerve left into the left shoulder of the road and the oncoming traffic to take avoiding action on the opposite shoulder. Over the next 20 minutes as we approached Laingsberg it repeated similar behaviour whenever it wanted to overtake. I tried to phone the Call Center to lay a complaint but the phone never got answered. The driver showed NO care or concern for the lives or property of his passengers or other road users. I have no doubt this complaint will go unheeded as further bus accidents take the lives of innocent people. Potential Passengers, USE THIS SERVICE AT YOUR PERIL
ON the 16th Jan 25 I paid for a toy model turbofan jet engine as advertised on Facebook. The last interaction I had from their email address (jojoytoysservice@outlook.com) was on the 7th March. All other interactions yield excuses and platitudes. The website jojoytoys.com is closed and unavailable. I have not received the item. To be honest I allowed for the possibility that this might be a **** and now I can confidently declare that it is.
I ordered a tall birthday cake flavored, ice cream cake on the 28th of Nov for delivery on the 5th Dec for my daughters 21st. On the 4th I got a "Packing Slip" email saying it had been packed. We knew to pick it up at The Marc so late morning on the 5th we made our way to the Marc. The lady in the shop tried her best but knew nothing of our order. She phoned the "Chef" who would have made it with our order number, but got no response. We then got told to come back between 1pm and 4pm. We left and as we drove away we got a call that the cake had arrived and was in the shop. We went all the way back to find the shop was now locked! Turns out the delivery driver was not inclined to bring the cake to the shop and the helpful lady (Brenda I think) had to lock the shop and get it herself. By this stage my daughter and I were very unhappy and made mention of the fact to Brenda. Later that evening after our nerves had cooled and the cake was finally presented to our guests as the "Fait accompli", we found the taste experience quite un-edifying. A few moths before I had tried to contact the switchboard for another event and the phone just rang and rang and when answered, the person on the otherside not not have been less interested. On that occasion I went elsewhere. This time I have made up my mind that I'm not going back.
I took my sons Itouch to them to replace the battery that was worn out. It had an existing damaged patch on the screen that amounted to about 10% of the screen surface. I did not want the screen repaired since it would cost about a grand and my son could live with the screen as it was.
They quoted about R500 to do the repair.
In doing the battery replacement they broke the screen a bit more amounting to about a total of 25% of the screen. They then offered a deal to do the screen and the battery for more but I did not want a new screen for the additional cost. We had a bit of haggling and I expressed some dissatisfaction with their offer since it was not what I had been originally offered. Anyway, I went to fetch the device expecting to have a fight about it. When I got there, they had done the following:
1) replaced the screen with a fully working one.
2) replaced the battery with a new one.
3) Charged me R550 INC VAT which is what I originally had been offered.
I am pleased with how things turned out, and felt that they had come to the party in a real way.
Thank you Smartfix :)
