Bad service - The Courier Guy
Good Morning! A parcel was sent to me last week Thursday, 26 January 2023. The sender took the parcel to The Courier Guy, Queenstown upon which the amount of the parcel was given to the sender which he paid. I have received a notification on Monday morning, 30 January 2021 that my parcel will be delivered on Monday. Normally they deliver early morning, but when I did not receive my parcel by the afternoon I checked on the tracking where my parcel is to see that my parcel has been returned to The Courier Guy Hub. I called The Courier Guy Ficksburg to find out why my parcel was not delivered only to be informed that the amount paid by the sender was too little and that the parcel will only be delivered once the matter has been resolved. I told them that this matter has nothing to do with me or the sender. It is an internal matter. It is not our fault. They apparently logged the dispute with The Courier Guy Queenstown. When I have not heard from The Courier Guy Ficksburg, I called again this morning to once again hear that my parcel will not be delivered until the matter has been resolved and once again I re-iterate that it is not my or the senders problem. We did not make the mistake. It is an internal matter. It is not our fault. I was informed by The Courier Guy that it is company's policy not to deliver the parcel until the matter is resolved. I was shocked at how they handled this whole matter. I phoned head office who transferred me to the Queenstown branch where I spoke to The Manager who promised to resolve the matter. I received a phone call from Courier Guy, Ficksburg, about an hour ago to say that my parcel will be delivered tomorrow, 1 February 2023. I just need to make customers of The Courier Guy aware of their policy which to me is shocking. The customer suffers because of their mistake.
