Motor Industry Ombudsman is a Big disappointment.
In November 2022 I lodged a complaint with MIOSA and two months later they emailed me saying that they are closing the case due to no response from the dealer. My question is why do they give the dealer 10 days to respond threatening that they could face fines of up to 1,000,000.00. Then if they repond send them another email threatening the same fines if they don't respond. Then 3 days later you tell me the case is being closed because of no response from them. Then MIOSA is useless entity. Why don't they get off their butts and go to these people's offices to track them down and serve them with legal paper work, so that they know if they don't respond, MIOSA knows where to find them. It's better to go to your own lawyers then to go to MIOSA because they are a waste of time and you will experience the biggest disappointment of your life.

F&J car Sales, most dishonest people I have ever come across.
I bought a car from this dealer. The lady and the manager that helped me are Busisiwe Nduneni and Willie is the manager. She sent me videos and pictures of the car but only the areas where you can't see faults. They advertised the car as being in immaculate condition. After I took delivery of the vehicle I noticed cosmetic and interior faults which they did not show in the pictures. There was a strong smell of fumes, all the brake discs and all the wheel nuts were rusted. There was water leaking into the boot area. 3 weeks later the coolant warning came on, I topped up the coolant and therefter every week it came on. After 3 weeks of having the car, the coolant light came on every day and I had to top up coolant every day until I took it for inspection and I was told that the head gasket was blown and it would cost over R40k to repair. After receiving the car and trying to contact them, they have been ignoring my many messages, phones calls, videos and pictures of the problems with the car. I reported it to MIOSA and after 2 months they told me that they are closing the case due to no response from the dealer. The car has been standing now for 2 months. These are the worst people I have ever dealt with and I would not advise anyone to buy any car from them because they are liars and dishonest people. They are very nice in the beginning, but once they have your money they don't care about you after that. I would not advise anyone to do business with these people and F&J Car Sales.
