NEVER PLACE AN ONLINE ORDER FOR MAKRO I have been trying to resolve an issue with an order that has been mixed up for 2 weeks now. I made numerous phone calls to their call center and wrote numerous emails explaining the problem. To date nothing has been done. All I hear is we are sorry. We will call the store that made the error to refund you. I app**** for a refund to say NOTHING WAS DELIVERED. Yet, Makro send a courier to collect the items I DID NOT RECIEVE. To make matters worse, the call centre agents place you on hold "to check with the store or to get someone to speak to me about this" and then leaves me on hold until the call cuts out. I spend my entire cell phone call allowance for the month on calling Makro online support call centre. They refuse to put me through to a supervisor or manager in charge. They make my repeat the storie 100 times, then puts me on hold and disappears. I have even attempted to call the store, but the number on the internet for the store takes you back to the call centre. If you want to hand over money and not get your items, order anything online on Makro. They have now lost a loyal customer that has been shopping with them for 20 years - in store. This was my 1st online experience and never to be repeated.
Last week Saturday I called the cell number on the website www.repaircenter.co.za. They advertise repairs of fridges and freezers. The person who took my call advised me hat he will send a technician on Sunday. The technician arrived as scheduled at 8am. The technician was very young which already put doubt in my mind if he had sufficient experience. He assured me that he knows what he is doing and told me that he has been doing this job for 4 years. He advised me that the sensor in my fridge was faulty and continued to replace it. He told me that it will take approx 3 to 6 hours for my fridge to get back to the correct temperature. He insisted I pay him and left. I received an invoice from another NR and made the payment. By the end of the day here was no improvement. The same problem still existed. I send the technician a message to ask him to come back on the Monday. On Monday he fiddled again. Before he left I noticed that the temperature display on the fridge door was now not working. He told me that it's because he now fixed the problem and that the display will work when the fridge is back to the correct temperature. Once again I had to call him on Tuesday as the fridge was now a freezer and the display did not work. He gave me a soppy excuse that he could not come back on Tuesday. On Wednesday he again fiddled with the fridge. I noticed that both the fridge and freezer as well as the temperature display were all now faulty! When I asked him what was going on he now told me that the board was faulty and that they would need to order parts. When trying to contact him via phone and messages on Thursday Friday and Saturday he did not respond at all or take my calls. Neither did his boss who sent me the invoice via what's up (not email). I soon realized that I was ****med and that they are not qualified technians! When I went back to the website I noticed spelling errors as well as that the address on the website and the address on the invoice are not the same. It is very clear that these people are *****sters and not able to provide the service they advertise. Stay clear! You are going to lose money and have nothing to show for it. I now worse off than before as the freezer compartment still worked fine. They only had to fix the fridge compartment and now I am left with a broken appliance. Nothing is no longer working. ☹️
My mom had solar installed a year ago. Andrew was very quick to get the sale done. I only had 1 request/concern - I specifically asked him about after sale service - in the event that something goes wrong, how OHHEX will assist my mom. She is an elderly person. He assured me that - should we experience any trouble down the line - that either myself or my mom could call him anytime and he would sort it out. A year down the line and we are having problems with the solar system - in particular the battery. It's not charging. I's been 3 weeks and nothing has been done about the problem. First Andrew kept promising that a technician would call me. Then more promises that a technician would come out to trouble shoot. Now promises that a technician will come & collect the faulty battery. After numerous calls and messages, a technician contacted me. The issue could not be resolved telephonically. Then another technician eventually came to the house to trouble shoot (also after several requests). Now I am chasing them again for the technician to collect the battery. I am not sure what everyone else is raving about as there is NOTHING positive to say about this company. It's the most unprofessional service I have ever experienced. I am still waiting for a resolution to my problem.
