Hello Peter! In May I flew my daughter from the UK to South Africa for a visit. Her flight to SA went well: the aircraft was clean, meals were good and everything worked. Going home was another story! She arrived at Oliver Tambo to be notified that the flight was delayed. After a few notifications that the plane would be leaving later, it finally culminated into the flight being totally cancelled. Along with other passengers my daughter was accommodated at a hotel overnight, but she could only resume her journey home the next day. This had repercussions. She lives in Plymouth which is a six hour bus trip from Heathrow, and as a result of the delay the bus was missed and there is no refund for that. Her cat was being cared for by a kitty nursery and she ended up paying an extra day's accommodation for his stay. Long story short, she was out of pocket by seventy pounds. The worst frustration was when regular RwandaAir passengers in her group reported that this is a regular happening on RwandaAir. Never will I fly RwandaAir again.
Firstly, Wow! Hello Peter! What a wonderful opportunity for small businesses to be reviewed and listed with you. I have discovered Kiki Beauty products. An online business, it is clearly owned by a young woman. Beautiflly packaged, these are way above average quality products at affordable prices. Delivery is swift and hassle free and on one occasion I had a problem with a dispensing pump, contacted the supplier and got an instant reply to my query. It was resolved without having to return the product. Excellent young company.
Cash Crusaders carry a line of new goods manufactured by Dixon. I bought a brand new vacuum cleaner for R699. I should have guessed!. I have a small cottage with two bedrooms which are carpeted and I thought a small vaccie would be able to cope with vacuuming once per week. Well it didn't. Six months in and the motor burned out. I returned it for repairs. They sent if off to their supplier (which took a whole month) and when I went to collect it I was told that they had not repaired it because I clearly had not switched it off enough while vacuuming. If it couldn't manage to do a small job like that it should not be called a vacuum cleaner. And there should be a warning on the box that it cannot run for more than three minutes at a time.
