I have been using the services of this small business for a few years. Owned and managed by Byron. He has been phenomenal. His prices are good, he is reliable, and he personally works with his carpet cleaner/s every step of the way. Nothing is too much to ask when I have asked him to move couches to another room before cleaning the carpets. If something is not right after he has left, he will return to fix it without hesitation. Once I spilled a liquid on the carpets that would have stained it if left, and was not due for a carpet clean, so he came to clean just that area for me, and did not charge me. He is an honest, ethical, hard working man, and the one that I will always trust to clean my carpets and upholstery. Customer service and satisfaction is his top priority.
I used The Window Washers ***ned by Janet Gildenhuys), to wash my windows end August last year. I noticed after a couple of days after that they had damaged a glass item. I informed the owner of the damage. Her response was: "What would you suggest to remedy the situation? Understandably, accidents could happen. I strongly doubt that this was caused by my staff. Going forward, I will have to insist that we both take photos of all breakables and damageables before and after the cleaning. As well as asking that you remove any furniture, breakables, etc, out of the way and opening all blinds and curtains." This is a company that advertises as fully supervised. It is correct that the owner is on site, but she does not fully supervise the staff and take precautions to prevent damages. I went to the effort of trying to get quotes to get the item fixed, to prevent a full replacement, but found out that it cannot be fixed only replaced. The owner has not responded to any of my messages, including a request to meet on site to discuss the issue - the last communication from the owner was on the 4th of September, as per the above quoted message, my messages after that ignored. I noticed that she blocked me after my message on the 31st December informing her that the item cannot be fixed, and a request to meet onsite. I also sent an email this morning, but her lack of response and blocking me on whatsapp, indicates that she does not plan to respond or take accountability. All businesses should be insured for public liability should accidents happen, if not they should be prepared to pay for the damages caused.
Van Reenen was recommended by Toadstool Gardens. I am so glad I used VR irrigation. The level of professionalism was top notch. Quick, efficient, owner supervised, and I will use them again for any new areas I need irrigated. What an awesome team Toadstool Gardens and VR irrigation - well done!
I highly recommend Toadstool Gardens. After a nightmare experience where another local Landscaper had made a mess of my property - doing more damage than good, Neil and his father Allan stepped in and helped me to transform my garden into a tranquil oasis. The work was fully supervised by the owner, and it was absolutely painless. It was in fact incredible to watch the professionals step in and finish the work in the blink of an eye. All the staff were pleasant and respectful - they just got down to doing their job and without any hassles. I can honestly say it was a pleasure to use them, and I will definitely use them again for any future landscaping work.
Shocking workmanship, no supervision, non existent communication. The owner David Viljoen blocked my cell for a month while he apparently disappeared overseas for a period during that time, while sitting with my extensive deposit in his bank account. To date he has not been able to provide receipts for purchasing materials for the project, which was the intention of the deposit. I cancelled the rest of the project due to the above, and even after numerous requests and deadlines, he has to date still not refunded the money due to me. (These deposits were paid to him 15 December 2022 and 11 January 2023.)
Same as others. Delivered toners in 2019 that I did not authorize, refused to collect them. Now a new company Unlimited Essentials has been harassing for payment, even though they cannot provide proof of an authorized order, or a signed agreement for a credit account.
Toners delivered to my business in 2019 that I did not authorize. They refused to collect these toners. Now Unlimited who took over the other company that delivered the toners, has been harassing my staff and sending letters of demand. Same story as the other complaints.
1) Last time I had bad experience: I bought 2 pairs boots, about R10 000 altogether. Too tight, so I was told send them to workshop and they will be stretched. Once returned, boots were ruined (wrinkles on surface), still too tight. I complained to website, they just told me to send to the Head Office, but when I asked if they have any replacement pairs in stock, they ignored my emails.<br> 2) I did not go back for about a year or more. Decided to take a chance on Saturday, bought over R5000 worth of shoes. One was not comfortable, so returned it 2 days later. I chose another pair. I was told that the R400 difference cannot be refunded, AND it expires after 1 year. If it was more I would have had to pay in the difference, at least they can refund if they owe me. I don't want any more shoes from Europa, to avoid the bad service. I complained on the website, I was told by Clarissa that if I am not happy with this I am more than welcome to take this up with the Consumer Protection Council. The worst customer service I have ever had from anywhere!!!
