My husband and i visited an watery in Howick KZN. The restaurant is called 'The Village' at yard 41' Howick. The service was really poor. We ordered a pizza and drinks. The drinks were served well enough. But the waiting time for our meal was over 40 minutes at which time we had to call the waiter to inquire about the delay. Eventually another waiter came to ask if we were waiting for our pizza!!!! At which she said it will be out shortly. We just paid for our drinks and left. The service was poor, the waitress was cold and unfriendly. Not recommended.
So my saga with discovery insure continues.....Today is day 17 since I logged the 1st claim and I still have not received any clear response from my insurer. Nqobile Mthethwa is the agent dealing with my claim but her service is pathetic. My car was struck by lightning on the 17/03/2023 and since then i have been given the runaround by discovery insure. Getting through via the call center is a nightmare, emails to Nqobile go unanswered/ ignored and i have yet to be told what the process will be after the initial assessment. I have asked twice now to be referred to the manager and that request has also been ignored. Does anyone know how i can escalate this to the ombudsman please?
I recently logged a claim (17/03/2023) for lightning damage to my vehicle. Discovery insure sent out a tow truck and my vehicle was towed to a panel shop as per instructions from discovery. To date, i have not been given a report on the extent of the damage and the timeframe for repairs. I have called, emailed, chat boxed and have been given little to no information. My calls were put on hold until i eventually ran out of airtime. I was informed yesterday that my car will be lifted to the VW dealer yesterday but when i checked this morning, the panel shop reports having received no instruction from discovery so can i even trust the agent assigned to my claim? I emailed her to follow up and i am still awaiting feedback. Storage charges are obviously piling up which will ultimately affect my premium in the new year. I will not be recommending this insurer to any of my family or friends. Their premiums are exorbitant even with a huge excess but their service is pathetic. Based on this incident, I would give the service provider a zero rating if the option were offered.
