We bought a car from We Buy Cars Midstream in January 2025. Car is still within the 6 month warranty and we've looked after it very well. However, the car is burning through large amounts of oil (we phoned We Buy Cars to determine the exact oil we are allowed to use for the car we bought so that we do not violate the warranty) and it has started losing power on inclines. Representatives from We Buy Cars have been vague as to how the Repair, Refund, or Replacement work and also are vague as to who the approved garages are where the car can be taken to for it's routine service which is coming up. This has caused unnecessary stress and panic attacks for our entire family especially my mother as time has to be taken off work while we wait for them to get back to us. Even after doing everything as stipulated by We Buy Cars, following the warranty guidelines, and diligently paying our monthly installments, we are still being taken advantage of because We Buy Cars values profit over people. We've struggled for years and finally managed to afford a "reliable" car. Turns out we are not the only ones....Multiple people since 2021 have reported We Buy Cars for selling them defective cars and then skirting on their responsibility in terms of the warranty (CPA Section 55). Do you want to bankrupt and cheat hardworking people who work themselves into early graves trying to pay off a car that does not even work? Have you no shame? CPA regulations clearly stipulate your duty to consumers. We have to wait days, weeks or months just to get some kind of feedback but I bet that if we lose our jobs due to unreliable cars and miss payments, then you'll be phoning us every 5 minutes. Perhaps if there is mass legal action action taken, you will start accepting responsibility.

New employee (bald lady- Dominique?) sat on the floor behind the counter facing away from the till and scrolled on her phone (which is not allowed behind the counter as far as I know) - apparently to fix the staff wifi to play music. Meanwhile I stood at the counter waiting to see how long it took to get service. Seated customers also noticed the bad service. I was only noticed when another staff member (Tracy) came out of the kitchen carrying food and drinks for other clients - she saw me and immediately helped while the bald headed emoloyee kept making excuses for their poor work ethic instead of apologizing and helping their colleague. This employee has exhibited poor work ethic on multiple occasions - is that what we can expect from all new Bru staff as loyal customers?
Cancelled my gym membership 2-3 years ago and have photographic proof that my account is paid in full. Received an sms this morning saying I have an outstanding amount due, and do you think I can get any straight answers out of the Virgin Active staff (Cradlestone branch)? NO. I have to phone out my airtime and waste my morning. No manager available; they don't phone back (*********** staff who lie themselves into a corner yet double down).

Absolutely disgusting service. The moment they need to reimburse you, they're nowhere to be found or send you from pillar to post trying to get your money back. They don't even cover half of your chronic medication (the whole reason why you need a medical aid).
