Ordered coffee beans from their website. I get a confirmation email of the order saying that it has been received and payed for. Their website mentions orders can take up to three days to ship and that you will be notified once the order is shipped. It has now been 8 days since the order was made and no update on the shipping has been received. I've emailed their support twice and received no response. Phoned the number in the email and it went to voicemail. At this point it seems like a ****

New employee (bald lady- Dominique?) sat on the floor behind the counter facing away from the till and scrolled on her phone (which is not allowed behind the counter as far as I know) - apparently to fix the staff wifi to play music. Meanwhile I stood at the counter waiting to see how long it took to get service. Seated customers also noticed the bad service. I was only noticed when another staff member (Tracy) came out of the kitchen carrying food and drinks for other clients - she saw me and immediately helped while the bald headed emoloyee kept making excuses for their poor work ethic instead of apologizing and helping their colleague. This employee has exhibited poor work ethic on multiple occasions - is that what we can expect from all new Bru staff as loyal customers?

Not really sure what’s up with this place, Facebook and Insta seem to be active, but as a business they’ve either gone under or thier service makes the ANC look like a good idea. Last Wednesday I placed an order, this Wednesday it has still not shipped. I sent an email in the morning and by 16:30 I had no response, tried the number on the email and strait to voicemail. Tried another number on the site, rang and eventually went to voicemail. Both numbers listed are cell numbers. Few min later someone calls back and I ask for an update on my order, he says he is not at the warehouse but will get them to get back to me. This morning nothing. I head over to Facebook and DM them there, 15:46 the message is read with no response. The message on Insta I had sent later in the day has also had no response, but not sure if insta has read/seen indicators. So now I have contacted PayFast via email to enquirer as to how to file a transaction dispute as I cannot very well request a refund from a company that ignores all forms of communication. I had also at 17:08 sent another message on FB requesting a refund, purely for the probable benefit of PayFast, maybe they’d want it, not 100% sure they can help but hey, at least it was not a big order. They were just the only place Google spun up for the product I was looking for, and having apparently been in business since like 2006 I kinda assumed they’d be legit. Seems like a lot of effort for long a con if they are are one…

My husband and I went to Bru coffee roasters on Sunday 5/12/2021, just to experience the worst cappuccino ever. We ordered 2 medium cappuccino's with cream. After waiting quit a while which is understandable because they were busy, the lady spilled half the one cup on the counter, she then took a rag which was covering the steamer on the coffee machine, wiped the counter and the cup, and put the rag back over the steamer. She then tried to get the cream on top, but the machine would not work, as it looked like there was no cream in to whip. She then proceed to the back with cream and the machine, returning after a long time, with the cream whipper still not working. She then proceed to pour the ice cold cream directly into to cups, Note that the cream was not whipped, and the coffee was standing on the counter for a while The cappuccinos was cold and the hygiene not to standard.

BRU COFFEE ROASTERS are continuing to give the best coffee and the best service. I placed an order for coffee on Friday and by Tuesday I was worried that I'd be without my favourite BRU BLEND coffee due to Youth Day on Wednesday. I followed up via e-mail and was promised a delivery the same day. BRU Coffee Roasters specially drove to my house to deliver my favourite BRU BLEND. You guys ROCK!

BRU COFFEE ROASTERS are continuing to give the best coffee and the best service. The staff at Cradlestone Mall BRU coffee roasters were super friendly, energetic and professional. The food was AMAZINGLY fresh and delicious. The service was so personalized and prompt. Thank you so much for the fine dining experience.

I love BRU's coffee, but I also love their business model of hiring a young, mixed racial and cultural background staff. I love seeing guys/girls/black/white and coloured young people working towards the same goal....a quality cup of coffee and friendly service each time you walk it. Their rewards program is a bonus plus as well. It has bee fun watching this company expand from a one stop petrol station coffee stop to now having several local coffee shops on the West Rand of Johannesburg.
