Just had some interaction with Jason Prendergast at Dotsure. He was friendly and knowledgeable, followed up on my requests immediately. He is an asset to Dotsure and I would recommend him and Dotsure to anyone.
On 03/01/2025, travelling West on the Bakwena N4 highway on my motorcycle. Doornpoort Mainline west toll gate. The boom opened, and I proceeded but before I could pass the boom gate, it closed on top of my head. Since I do have an E-tag, it should not have closed again. My helmet was damaged and I completed an incident form at the toll gate. A week later, I finally got hold of a lady named Ilze Kleynhans. She admitted negligence after looking at the recorded footage. Apparently, that specific lane is not suitable for motorcycles and that an appropriate sign should have been displayed. After many promises I still don't have any payment for damage caused to my Arai helmet. It should not happen to anyone. I could've been injured badly
Communication is a huge struggle. Website not user friendly. When you call, you hold on for 30 minutes at least. E mail response time very slow. However since Mpho Nhlapho started to assist me, things changed for the better. Huge shoutout to her. I received my vehicle registration document within 2 weeks after settling. She went the extra mile to assist me with all my queries, and she is very knowledgeable and competent and friendly. Marquis needs more personnel like Mpho.
Initially they were very helpful. However, I've been struggling with a few things. 1. Their website is not user friendly. 2. When you call, you wait for 30 minutes before speaking to a person. 3. Whenever I make advanced deposits, (Of which I email them the proof and instructions immediately) I have to wait for an email from them, asking me what should be done with the extra deposit. And then I have to resend the proof of payment and tell them that I want my repayment term reduced. This process normally takes 4 to 6 days. I was told that they will put a notice on my account for future deposits. But yet..... Same story over and over every time. I really just want to get this vehicle paid off as soon as possible.
Initially I gave Marquis a good review. However, not anymore. Whenever I pay an additional amount towards my account it is a huge struggle to get them to subtract it from my outstanding capital amount and reduce my repayment term. Every month I struggle. I pay extra to save on interest, but the money is just sitting there showing a minus. Email after email. To call doesn't help. You stay on the line for 30 minutes. Even after an email to the MD, my account still shows the same. They are the worst.
