Poor Service and Lack of Accountability – ZIDO Cars Benoni
I purchased a vehicle from ZIDO Cars Benoni on 9 February 2026, but unfortunately the service I received after the purchase has been extremely disappointing. Dealership Details: ZIDO Cars Benoni Address: 3 Princes Ave, Benoni, 1501 Phone: 010 447 2227 The dealership was responsible for providing my vehicle registration and temporary permit. The permit they initially gave me was expiring on 1 March 2026. Before the expiry date, I contacted them requesting a new permit because the registration had not yet been finalized. I was told that a new permit would be sent, but it was not provided before the expiry date. Because of this delay, I was stopped by traffic authorities and my vehicle was impounded due to the expired permit. I had already communicated with the dealership about the issue beforehand. When I contacted the dealership after the vehicle was impounded, they told me that it was my responsibility and claimed they had sent the permit via courier on 26 February. They further informed me that I must pay the impound fees myself and also pay R800 for a new permit, even though the delay was caused by them failing to provide the permit on time. In addition, I had requested double licence discs for the vehicle, but they only provided one disc instead of two, which is not what was agreed upon. I am very disappointed with the service and lack of accountability shown by Customer Service (Faried Ncube) and Salesman Calvin. As a customer who purchased a vehicle from this dealership, I expected professional service and proper support, especially with important documents such as permits and registration.
