I am extremely disappointed with the service my family and I received from iCebolethu Funerals Empangeni during my father’s funeral, Thulani Robert Mpumelelo Mtshali, on Saturday, 6 December 2025. We paid a Top Up fee for a funeral package that was meant to provide dignity, organisation, and professional support during a very painful time. Unfortunately, the service fell far below our expectation. Key issues experienced: • My father’s picture arrived very late, only towards the end of the service. I had to personally follow up with staff during the funeral. • I upgraded to a casket with candles on four sides, but the candles were never lit. No one informed us that the casket needed to be opened, and no staff member took responsibility for this. • There was no guidance or direction at the hall, which caused confusion and contributed to delays. • The family car broke down when it was time to leave for the cemetery. Despite multiple attempts to jump-start it, it failed, forcing us to use private vehicles — an embarrassing and stressful situation given the package we paid for. I formally escalated this matter and was told it was being handled, yet no solid feedback, resolution, or communication has been provided. This lack of follow-through shows poor customer care and accountability. A funeral is a once-off, deeply emotional event. The mistakes made on this day cannot be undone. I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the service I received at the Uber Greenlight office in Sandton regarding a lost item. I visited the office to inquire about my sandals, which were left in the Uber on May 18th. The driver, Michael Gumbi, has communicated with me, confirming that I can collect my sandals anytime I visit the Greenlight office. Unfortunately, due to my full-time work commitments (Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 18:00), I have been unable to visit during office hours, as they close at 16:00. Moreover, my attempts to contact the office for further assistance have been met with no response. My sandals were quite expensive cost around R650 and still brand new. It is disappointing that my item has not been handled properly, and there has been a lack of communication from Uber regarding retrieval. How can someone's item be given away without their consent? What's even worse is that the driver stated I could retrieve my item at any time, without mentioning it would be given away. I knew I wouldn't be able to visit the offices anytime soon due to work commitments. I feel I have been treated unfairly, and I would appreciate guidance on how to resolve this issue before I consider escalating it further. Attached are the trip details for your reference.
I am extremely frustrated and disappointed with the service I received from Makro Crown Mines. I purchased a blender from you, but it stopped working on the first day. I paid R800 for it and initiated a return on September 9th. I have all the necessary proof in my email. However, when I followed up on the return, I was told that returns were closed and I couldn't return the faulty item. This feels like a ****. I provided proof emails to Mpho Libambo, and she said that the driver would come to collect the blender last week Thursday and Friday, but no one showed up. It's now October 8th, and I am incredibly frustrated with this situation. I have been unable to use the blender for far too long, and this is completely unacceptable.
I would like to state that I am extremely disappointed with the service I have received from Builders Warehouse service when it comes to my refund. I bought the mirror online on the 25th of July 2023, I went to the shop to return the mirror on the 23rd of August 2023 and was assisted by Cashier Sostinah Mthom at the Builders Warehouse Rivonia and she said to me the money will be refunded to the debit card that was used to purchase the mirror Online. Two weeks after that I made a call to follow up about my refund and I was told that the money was refunded to my profile which I wasn't made aware of and they explained the refund process and I was given a form to fill in for a refund and was told to send my proof of payment, ID and slip I did that, so during the week I was told to resend my ID copy and I should receive my refund today the 08th of September, only to find out that's not the case my form is not completed while it was and only the office part of the form was not. They have not responded to my email and till to this day I have not received my refund.
