I signed up with this organisation, which includes giving my banking details for the stop order In May 2022. In November 2023 I was involved in a fender bender. When I called the, they stated they don't have a policy on their system for me. I sent them e mail trails quite clearly stating that that everything was in order with my policy. I liked them so much that I asked them for pricing on my Harley. It turned out more expensive than my current Harley insurance, so I said I will stay with my current provider. They then didn't upload my car insurances. Now I am without a driveable car because they won't pay out.
Stay away from this company. They ******ed R4000.00 from me. Early Jan, I had a fender bender and was in a bit of shock. One of the companies tow guys was on scene. I asked him a few times what the tow would cost. Each time he told me not to worry, we would discuss it when we at their yard. I forgot to remove all my belongings. One thing that was of value that was missing was my Harley Davidson knife. The distance from the accident scene to their shop/yard is exactly 1.5km. When I cam to take my car away, they would not release it until I paid them R4000.00. I contacted another tow company to find out what they would charge for the 1.5km was R700.00. How's that for a difference! The manager, Viresh, gave the instructions and sat there with a smug look on his face. Guys, STAY Away from this company. They do not have client interest at heart! I still have to repair my car, but this company will definitely not be considered.
I was having a really hard time getting funds to the amount of over R5000.00 incorrectly billed for a laptop that i returned the very next day as the the tele sales agent made false statements as to what this laptop could do. MTN and some other subsidiary company called Rewards, claimed that i would be refunded as soon as they found the laptop that was returned the very next day. So due to their staff being unable to locate the laptop, they penalised me! What absolute hogwash. Like I have an influence of their warehousing system. After sending dozens of e mails, SMS's and WhatsApp messages to them, I was stalled at every point. No-one in MTN was eager to help me get my refund due to an incredibly lack lustre and zero capability to refund me. Not one of the MTN staff could move my query to the correct department. Nothing moved. I of course became exceptionally angry. Then a thought came to me. Maybe SA Consumer Complaints would have enough punch to get this done. I sent an email to Consumer Complaints and received a response the very same day. An Angle by the name Marleen De Lange took my case and got very serious with it. She told me not to communicate with MTN, but to refer all their communication to her. It was amazing to see results coming in so quickly. So I would like to publicly thank Marleen from Consumer Complains for her heavy influence and determination to correct a wrong. Without her, there is no way I would succeed in retrieving my money. My refund has now been paid after more than a year. Thank you Marleen De Lange.
