Got ****med R4 400 of my money, which he refuses to return. I am not using the word "****" lightly. I have all the evidence, whatsapps and proof of payment of the R4400 if anyone is interested. Buy from him directly, and you will regret.
He asked Hellopeter to remove my previous review which exposed his ************ conduct. The fact of the matter is he misrepresents his devices as new when they are old, scuffed and even refurbished (using non-authentic components). He took R4400 of my money and has not returned it despite many empty promises. He tries every trick to block customers' negative reviews, and have only positive reviews published. When he approached Hellopeter to ask for my review to be removed, Hellopeter should have just contacted me and asked for proof of the claims I made in my review. I would have given them all whatsapp messages, proof of payment, etc so they can satisfy themselves that what I said is true.
Now I understand why they are rated so low. Bob Shop allows ************ and dishonest sellers on its platform. I bought a device described as "new" from a seller on their platform called Netrox. When the device was delivered, it turned out to be used, scratched and scuffed. Netrox gave me another one described as "new", which turned out to be a refurbished device with a counterfeit display and S-Pen. I reported all this to Bob Shop and requested a full refund of my money. They confirmed that it is not allowed for a seller to misrepresent their goods as new. They then put something called "SNC" on the transaction, which blocks me from posting a review of the seller in order to warn other potential buyers. I have asked Morne (the team leader in their customer care), to ensure that I can post my review and he refused and told me there is no possible escalation because he is basically the last word on the matter. So basically the SNC gets used to block seller accountability, which means the ************ seller will continue ****ming other buyers. If a transaction is cancelled because the seller misrepresented the goods sold, good old basic transparency means other buyers should know why the transaction was cancelled. So be very careful if you are doing business on Bob Shop. Don't take reviews that are posted as a comprehensive representation of the quality of the seller. Negative reviews may have been blocked through SNCs, just like mine was. So I Uninstalled Bob Shop and will never buy from them again in this life or the next.
Anyone potentially considering buying anything from Martin / Netrox or whatever other aliases he goes by beware: he is a ****. Firstly, don't fall for the claim that his devices are "new". He gave me a s**** of an S22 Ultra with bad scratches and scuff marks for R12600. I immediately returned it because it was not "new" as described on the advert. Then he kept making empty promises about getting me a perfect replacement S22. When I kept calling him every few days to check on when he will get the replacement, he eventually offered to upgrade me to an S23 Ultra if I paid an extra R3835, since that was the phone he had readily available. He assured me it was perfect and "new". I was desperate for a phone and I agreed, just so I could get a phone. After collecting the phone I carried out a few tests to authenticate the originality of the display and S-Pen. That "perfect and new" S23 turned out to be a refurbished device with a non-authentic low quality replacement display and **** S-Pen (mind you, when I asked him why the S Pen did not connect to the phone he falsely claimed it needs to be reset. I returned the S23 and asked for a full refund of my original purchase price plus the additional R3835 as it was clear that he is full of empty promises and poor quality stock. He was very reluctant to refund my money and very disrespectful in dealing with me. Then I called Bobshop, who intervened and they were able to secure a return of my R12600 (he didn't voluntarily pay it back to me, they basically took it from him after lots of back and forth). Now Martin refuses to refund the additional R3835 that I paid to him. Bobshop cannot help with that part because I was naive enough to pay it directly to Martin instead of doing it through Bobshop. So I have no alternative but to take legal steps to get my money. My advice to you is run for your life. Read his reviews on Bobshop, and take the negative reviews more seriously than the "positive" reviews, because those are what you will likely experience. I made the mistake of ignoring them. Those who gave him positive reviews (if they are not fictional positive reviews), I suggest you take the phone he sold you to someone who can check if things like display, S-Pen, etc are all authentic. You may be shocked. If despite this and others' experiences you still insist on buying from him, good luck, but do everything through Bobshop. Don't make the mistake of paying anything directly to him.
Shocking poor service. I ordered a lap top online from Hifi Corporation. They said it would be delivered within 2 days or so. Next thing I knew I received an email from Hifi Corporation informing me that the lap top had been delivered. That was a lie because I had been home all day and no such delivery took place. I immediately responded to their email and informed them that the lap top was never delivered. No response. I then called them and they said they would lodge a complaint with the warehouse. They said I should expect a response within 48 hours. 48 hours came and passed and still nothing. I called them and the agent said he will escalate but he has no other answers for me (imagine that). Still waiting to be contacted about my own lap top that I paid my own money for. I sorely regret not buying it through Takealot because they deliver fast, their customer support service is reliable and responsive and there are no stories about "warehouse this and that". They understand that a customer does not care about warehouse and other business arrangements within the organisation, the customer only wants their complaint resolved promptly by the shop they bought from. But Hifi Corporation does not understand that. Why would I care about warehouse not responding etc? As far as I am concerned a lodged a complaint with hifi corp and they have not made any effort to resolve it. If you are going to offer goods and services online, you must also build appropriate customer support structures to encourage more people to use the online shop. This is the worst online shopping experience I've ever had and I'll never again buy from Hifi Corp online. I'll stick to tried and tested merchants going forward.
If it was possible to give a 0 star rating I would rate their service 0. At your greatest moment of need you will not be able to get hold of them. I always think government departments have the worst customer service but dotsure easily outdoes them. What use is a warranty if you cannot use it when you need it? Their call centre is dysfunctional. You will call and every agent who picks up the call will keep telling you that you need to speak to someone else. They will say "hold while I transfer you" and you will continue holding for an hour before giving up. "We are searching for the next available agent. If you would prefer for someome to call you back blah blah blah, press 1": Even that will not help you. It's almost as if the call centre agents' primary mandate is to act as a barrier to claims.
