After my unprofessional and disappointing experience with a reputable company, that is Hulks panel beaters I feel that I should call attention to this panel beater. His name is Mr Y Khan. Residing and running his business at 132 Jupiter Road Northdale Pmburg. Small businesses like these work with integrity and excellent workmanship and are not recognized. Mr Khan would have not allowed this car to leave in the condition it is in currently. I have seen the end result of his work, which is perfection. I originally was taking my car to this gentleman but because Hulks panel beaters came highly recommended and had such a good track record I took my car there. The current owner has greatly dropped the standards of the shop. If anything it's been a painful journey. So I can safely make a comparison. My small business panel beater would have been a way better option. Mind you he is always busy. Yes, I would go to him in a heart beat because his work speaks for itself.
This company came highly rated . So after a bad accident I felt safe having my car there and the owner assured me that he does not charge storage fees. When I finally had saved enough for repairs, I paid the full amount of the repair cost, which in hindsight was a grave mistake. This was in the 2nd week of June. Lesson here. Don't do that . Communication with the owner was so hard. It was frustrating trying to communicate with the owner. He told me by end of April it would be ready. We could not get him telephonically so we went there. I was crushed. It looked much worse than the accident itself. From the 1st of August till today, the 5th of September , has been a see-saw of its ready, no it's not ready. It seems like my money was spent and the repairs could not be finished. Today we were told the car was ready. It looked good inside the workshop but once outside, the many faults were plain to see. By then the owner had left. The door that was replaced had a Crack. The doors cannot close. The side mirror has a panel missing including a missing mud flap. The key cannot open and close the door properly. There are glass pieces in the panel of the windows. Horrible patch ups with black paint and overall a very dirty car.. The owner has never seemed apologetic for any of the delays. I could not take my car today. I'm hoping he does the honorable thing and have my car repaired at another company at his cost. I would not recommend you take your car there.
840004684 - 07 My experience so far has been greatly disappointing. My last review was over a week ago and the response was that someone would get back to me but they have not. My claims has not been resolved. The person assisting me does not feel that I need to be kept updated. I reiterate that the case has not been handled with truth and honesty. I don't think that this company values their clients. I'm trying by all means to settle this claim with the company before taking legal action . I would acknowledgement and feedback. It's sad that insurance companies behave so dishonorably.
I'm having an ongoing battle with this company. They don't stand for honesty and accountability. Their client was 100% accountable for a recent accident, however I'm being cited acts that's not relevant to where and how the accident happened. The accident report from their client varies. How come are they not using factual information. The story seems so fill of loopholes and lies. Greatly disappointed
This is regarding a 3rd party claim. I did write a review after my claim was rejected . This was based on the fact that their client was not thinking clearly due to the emergency on the road. His thinking was so impaired that he flew across a barrier onto oncoming traffic. It seemed that there is some law that says the insurance company then should not pay out. After I reviewed this I was told hold on we will review your claim. Take note my car has a market value of R165.000, is still being financed. I get a call today saying yes that is the market value but after they factored In stuff that went over my head, they willing to pay out R38.000. Explain how I'm I supposed to recover from this loss. This brings me back to the question as to why I'm I paying insurance. Would any of you accept this. I have written to Wendy Knowler, I will submit all the records. I will also explore all other avenues. How can this be possible. The head of Auto and General should kindly contact me. Somethings don't add up. Is it because the client had a business insurance and knows smart ways to not pay out claims. From rejecting my claim then offering me a pittance.
It seems that insurance companies are just there to take our money. This is my experience. I logged a third party claim at the beginning of March 2025. The client of Auto and General was driving to Durban and my son was coming to Pietermaritzburg. He had to swerve in order not to be killed by the vehicle that crossed the barrier and came flying towards him. Fortunately he avoided a head on collision. The car is a write off. So the claims started off smoothly then seemed to drag on. I had to phone in repeatedly. They told me they could not contact their client. I found that odd as I had his contact details after the accident was reported. My son had also seen him at the accident scene , where he refused treatment and left in a hurry. His vehicle was fine. Anyway while I was on the phone with Auto and General they contacted him and got his version of the truth. Today, 15/5/2025, I get told that the claim was rejected based on the fact, that they had an EMERGENCY on the road and therefore the insurance would not cover the cost. This sounds unreasonable to me. Should my son have not been on the road? If he had died, they still get off with no accountability as they had an EMERGENCY. This begs the question, why do we pay insurance every month and when there is an accident we get nothing back. So consumers out there be careful with these tele marketing companies. They will use your vulnerability and come up with terms to confuse you and refute your claims.
I made an enquiry over the weekend. I was kept informed as to when to expect a call. Chad assisted me. He explained my options. He was friendly and answered all my questions. Signing up was a breeze. He is an exemplary consultant.
My claim was handled swiftly from the 1st agent, who was Michelle to Hayley Govender and the last agent, unfortunately I do not recall her name. They all were very helpful in settling my claim. Thank you Budget Insurance.
