I barely share anything on socials and I hope this message comes across and I get the support I need. After work on Monday on the 28th of July my partner Christine T. Kapena had the most wholesome idea to introduce me to Motivation Mondays at Canal Walk Shopping Centre This was powered by Sweetbeet and JEFF Fitness. The experience itself was indeed motivating as we went through some cardio exercises followed up by collecting a pretty decent goodie bag and a wonderful meal at Sweetbeet. Opposite Sweetbeet is Tashas Canal Walk which was at about 50% capacity. The seating arrangement for our event was pretty much full and on the outskirts seating of Tasha were two tables that seemed available this was about 30-40 mins before closing time, ever the opportunist I grab the seat so we could endulge in our meal. We were notified by the Manager of Tasha named Mbatha that we were not allowed to sit there, I didn't initially feel any prejudice and managed to maneuver to another seat which wasn't available initially. After we left a group of white people were allowed to enjoy their meal right where we were told to move. After about 15 minutes I confronted Mbatha and asked him why were we chased away from our table but not them. His first response was "I though they the same race as you". He followed up with the excuse he was busy with till slips for cash up. I called him out on his ************** and he refused to take accountability for his actions. I asked to speak to his boss and he refused to give me his number as I was not accepting the business card he provided me. He stood adamant that he did no wrong and even called the security and spoke in his vinacular to the security, he used English when he relayed that because I refused to leave he said I was "trespassing on property". I insisted he spoke in English so that what he communicates to the security I could verify was truth and not false. He refused that as well. One of the Sweetbeet employees asked me politely if her manager could address the situation and Michelle along with Christine was able to take me from outraged to appalled. Michelle the manager of Sweetbeet took my information down and told me she would notify the higher ups at Tasha about the incident. It's really ridiculous that in this day and aged I a proud South African has to withstand ************** from someone and absolutely no one takes accountability. I really find it unacceptable that my partner has to experience these things as well. We busy building a better world but God please guide me to serving you better and respecting myself more. Since the incident the manager named Gregori Christodoulou called the Wednesday of that week and firstly made an excuse that Michelle didn't pass my information on. He apologized on behalf of Mbatha and himself. Whilst on the call he expressed he understood the situation and felt remorseful. He offered Christine and I meal so that he and Mbatha can apologize, they probably wanted to spit in our food or worse. I demanded that Mbatha gets fired as most companies have a 0% tolerance for ************** and three months of his Salary. On the 5th of August I followed up with Greg to find out any updates, his response was that he didn't forget about me and the process takes about a week. It's now the 28th of August and no one has gotten back to me. I followed up again on the 11th of August and had no reply. This incident has really left me enraged, frustrated and depressed. I am disheartened to say the least. My partner suffers from. ************** in so many forms as she is a black woman and for her to receive it from another black man hurts just that much more. Where is Ubuntu? Where is the respect? Where is the honour in humankind. #MbathaThe******OnAPowerTrip #MondayMotivationAndDiscrimenation #ItsPatheticToDealWith****** #SomeCompaniesHave0PercentToleranceTo******ExceptTashasCW
Fumani is the agent. He contacted very politely. He was very easy to understand. I appreciate his service.
