I always used the smaller version since iPhone XS, but this year my wife made me buy a bigger one (14 Pro max). First, it seemed almost ridiculous: it was stupidly big, apps seemed not utilizing the whole screen real estate (even with its 1st party app), almost impossible to use it in one hand. And strangely, I found myself spending more time on this phone mostly procrastinating. I wanted to get myself slightly away from my phone, and I decided to buy the regular 14 Pro this week, and this is my observation so far: The weight feels almost the same: I cannot believe this, but it is. I think it's because of the weight distribution, even feeling that Pro max is slightly lighter than the Pro. The bigger screen size actually matters: First, I thought the screen on the Pro Max is just overly BIG, like you're using a 43-inch monitor for a daily use. But after 6 months of use, I'm having more enjoyable viewing experience than the Pro version (maybe I'm just getting older). Now it feels like it's a fair tradeoff to have this screen experience over a bulky size. Plus, as I have bad eyesights in the morning after having a vision correction surgery, Pro max serves better in that sense. Screen layout is different between the two: I thought the 14 Pro max is just a scaled-up version of the Pro, but the user experience is quite different. As Pro max has more wider screen (not the ratio), it feels more like a iPad/desktop layout compared to the Pro versions. This makes me more comfortable while browsing websites, having similar experiences with my other gadgets. Typing experience is much different: I never thought it would, but the typing experience is so much better on the 14 Pro max, although it almost forces you to use it two/handed. Way less typos, way faster typing. The (physical) size difference is not as I expected: Viewing experience can be different because of the 0.7 inch screen-size difference, and it feels like Pro max is way more bigger than the Pro, but in reality, it is not. My hands act almost identically when using the phones. The Pro version does the hand gymnastics a little bit less than the Pro max. Battery life is insane in iPhone 14 Pro Max: I never used 13 Pro max, but the 14 Pro max's battery life seems endless. For me, that's a good thing and also a bad thing, because this made me use the phone A LOT as I no longer have battery anxiety (4-5 hours daily screen-on time). Still, the pocketability is an issue: I cannot put my phone inside my pocket while driving, always have to take it out before getting inside the car. Aesthetically, the Pro version is better: In my perspective, iPhone looks better when it's small. iPhone Minis look the best (maybe that's because I miss the iPhone 5 days). 14 Pro max looks like any other android devices: looks like a brick rather than a phone when it's on the table.
I was skeptical at first and ended up an advocate. Started 2 years ago with BYOD with a Moto G Power, then a Moto G Stylus, back to the Moto G Power. Party member since month one. R999 monthly unlimited everything. I am near a rural tower so at home I always get great speeds and uninterrupted service. When traveling I get stronger signals and sometimes slower speeds in high congestion areas but never enough to interrupt streaming, calls, or text. My first and second phones said incompatible IMEI on the website but both work fine. I chose the iPhone option to bypass for ordering the sim. Never had a problem. Lost my phone a few weeks ago and live chatted customer service for help. They overnighted a new sim that was already activated to my account for no cost. Super impressed! The chat took some time but then boom my new sim was on the way. Hotspot works way better than my old ATT home wireless (dedicated hotspot for rural areas with antenna). Not nearly as well as my new Starlink (dont tell teh government lol). Can't think of a single complaint over 2 years. Openweb has been amazing this far!
Takealot has the worst service. I am losing money in a daily because of their incompetence they can resolve anything from Tuesday till Tuesday they escalating my matter. Make it make sense for me to still be patient. Sites not replying okay you gonna keep emailing and never get someone to find out why people are not responding. I wish Amazon will come to SA already so this new ownership of takealot can just die out and close down. They can't even look after their staff no wonder people don't do their jobs.
I'm always on the lookout for convenient and healthy snack options for my family, and Nature Valley Fruit and Nut Granola Bars in the Dark Chocolate Cherry flavor have earned a spot in my pantry. These bars offer a balanced blend of health and flavor. Packed with nuts, oats, and dried fruit, they provide a nutritious snacking choice that satisfies my cravings without excess sugar. They're a handy solution for a quick snack. The individually wrapped bars make it easy to control portions, and the absence of artificial additives gives me peace of mind. While they may not be a perfect health food, they strike a decent balance, making them a reliable choice for health-conscious parents like myself.
It is expensive, but Evian does not make my wife sick so that is why I buy it. Because it tastes clean and good, I drink more of it too, and water is good for the body. I buy 4 cases almost every month, there are two of us in my home but my wife is the main Evian water drinker. When the delivery works out, which is part of the purchase for this product, I am happy but typically if I am not happy with my monthly delivery it is typically because of a problem with delivery and not the product itself. The delivery problems are finally working out which makes getting my monthly water less stressful.
