If you live in an JHB area, it is outstanding. In my experience, their service has been tremendously reliable and fast (I live in the central JHB area). Plus, if you live in an JHB area, the data is truly unlimited with no caps/throttling. I do not know if it is the same nationwide. less than R500 for data that’s truly unlimited, fast and reliable on both my Apple Watch and iPhone is unbeatable. BUT! Chatting with their customer service is the worst. Thankfully the service is super reliable, so I almost never need to talk to them. I’ve had to reach out only once in the 2-3 years I’ve been using them.
I do not have much to say other than that the staff (especially in KZN) absolutely suck. They undercooked our pizza. I do not know if they were rushing or what, but it was bad. I only really enjoyed the cookie that I got from there, but the cookies are not worth the drive when I can just order from an independent baker down the road from me rather than drive half an hour. It was very disappointing, I must say.
Recommend sitting inside. Outside, very busy with mall traffic. The food was below average. Galicia cheese roll was a bun with garlic butter, which had to be sent back cause the butter wasn't even melted. The ribs we had were cooked well. But the basting was like someone just drizzled some bottle BBQ sauce on it before servicing it. This is definitely a restaurant I won't be returning to easily. We arrived at the restaurant and had our names taken down as it was full. We were promptly seated a few minutes after and had our orders taken. The exact same items we had last time. Our order was promptly taken down. We did receive our starter and main at the same time. I was extremely surprised that everything was done to perfection. We even received finger washing bowls, which is usually a hit and miss at spurs. Our meal was definitely top-notch, as well as the service received. This was the level of food expected on the first visit. Overall, I am happy with the return visit, and when we do go back, this is the level of service to be expected.
Their quality and stock levels vary throughout the country and regularly come in and out of stores. It is very inconsistent. They have very few stores, and they do not always take their food off the shelves when it becomes stale which can be months before the popcorn (for example) actually starts to taste off texture-wise. Their ice cream, while over priced, is pretty good. I wish that they haad more variety though. Sugar free, gluten free, and low carb options would be nice. Also, their website deals are not the best. Everything is pretty expensive even when you buy in bulk. I feel like it is a waste of time ordering in bulk as a result because the cost difference is so little, and then when you buy in bulk, the entire batch is sometimes off. It depends. Overall, they need to do some rethinking and soul searching.
