I have been a loyal Asus supporter for around 10 years and never had an issue with any of the laptops that I had purchased. So naturally, I was disappointed when I purchased an Asus Vivobook Pro 15 OLED (K6502) that was faulty. But the disappointment was was not so much on the laptop but rather the (absent) service that was provided by the Asus Country Service Manager (I assume for South Africa). [before I forget the RMA website for Asus was also faulty and tracking my laptop repair progress was non-existant] Only after writing a Hello Peter review did I get a response from Asus on getting a refund for the laptop. So I decided to order the same laptop again (Becasue what are the chances that lighting strikes twice?) and after using the second laptop for not even a week the same issues started to occur but I decided to bite through and inform said service a manager. The advice I got? Return the laptop and it will be sent to Netherlands for further evaluation. Maybe I am not bright but if you have another laptop (already) with the issues why not send that one and give me feedback on what the issue is? So in short, factoring in the reviews on Hello Peter for ASUS and my SERVICE experience I do not think I will support or purchase another Asus product in South Africa. The primary reason for this is down to poor or no communication from Asus and it is truly a disappointing experience. I am yet to have my second laptop sorted or have a direct response from Asus either apologising for the poor customer service or provide some "excuse".
Brand new Asus Vivobook Pro purchased and less than a month into owning the device the deevice was faulty. Laptop was sent in and confirmed to be a factory default. CPA was submitted to ASUS and its been nearly another month and no updates, notifications from their service desk on the laptop replacement. Extremely poor service and customer satisfaction from ASUS. If service is what you are looking for, dont expect it from them. I have had to liaise with a service technician from the repair centre for updates - which is not part of his job description. I will update this review should there be any notable change or "support" from ASUS.
