If you make a business booking with this site , add your SA Vat number , check that the establishment in SA is Vat registered. Our company has paid a large sum of Vat that it can't claim , the SA establishment has been paid the Vat but cannot issue a Vat invoice. I have tried to contact Booking.com only to be acknowledged with profuse apology & then totally ignored. Poor management , don't you check these vital details on the accommodation "you" host. I have used your site for 15 years , wish I had kept up to date with reviews as I have never had an issue but clearly there are many disgruntled guests having to suffer losses. I will report this matter to SARS , in the hope they will investigate.
Sold a vehicle to this dealership in 2014. Year on year our company is penalised with traffic infringements from this vehicle not being taken out of our name. We are assured each year that this has been sorted out , low & behold here we are 7 years later still battling to get Landrover to sort this out. We have presented the NPA with proof of purchase from Landrover Durban, but alas the plot thickens , this vehicle was infact exported to Zambia by Landrover Durban & we are expected to prove export of a vehicle we no longer own or exported. Landrover Durban Dealer Principal , quote per quote " Unfortunately I was not party to this deal done 6 years ago. I have done what I can." They will gladly take your orders , 7 cars in 15 years but will drop you like a hot cake . I hope someone reads this & changes their mind about using this dealership , its what they deserve from a disgraceful attitude to business & taking responsibility for their own issue.
Don't expect to get a result to a flight request to change on e-mail when in a foreign country & no access to calling their offices in Cape Town. System is automated & extremely frustrating. You can never reply to the same person, get the same automated response & then a different person asking for details you have already supplied. Three weeks later in desperation the day before my flight I called a friend on watts app in SA & they called your call centre while I hung on the phone "really?" I got my flight changed . I too was taken with a hefty change fee as it was so close to the flight & to add insult a double service fee?? What service? My e-mail complaint was also unanswered. Just book directly with the airlines at least you have a chance of them having an office in the country you are in.
